You have the #receta and the STEP BY STEP below.
Today's Sunday recipe is very sweet and easy, so we encourage you to make it and share it. It is vegan condensed milk! We made a "milk and milk" with it, a typical hot drink served in the cafes of our islands. If you want to know how we did it, take note:
INGREDIENTS
- 400 ml of canned coconut milk (1 can)
- 150 g of white sugar
Although it seems as easy as mixing the two ingredients, it is not. You have to follow the step by step if you want a #lecheconsenada #vegana without lumps and that does not crystallize like a candy.
· Pour coconut milk and sugar in a large cauldron and stir.
· Heat over medium heat while stirring until the sugar dissolves and let it boil.
· When it boils we will stop stirring. We lower the heat and cook for exactly 30 minutes, no more. In this way we will prevent it from crystallizing.
· After the first minutes you will see that it forms as a kind of cream on the surface. We are going to remove it with a spoon carefully, without remover. This will prevent lumps from forming.
· Let it continue cooking over low heat for the remaining minutes.
· After 30 minutes, turn off the heat and remove the cream from the surface again.
· We pass to a glass container to cool
· Once cold and we can enjoy it.
We use it in a coffee with milk, which we call here milk and milk. But many also use it as a spreadable bread and you can even use it as a sweetener ingredient in a recipe.
Enjoy it!
