I couldn't wait, so I remembered I already had some biscuits made!!! So I made your gravy ... and it's tastes so much like my Mom's "white (milk) pepper" Gravy I grew up on. I thought your American biscuits were some sort of savoury scone which we Brits call cobbler and we put them on the top. We have Yorksire pudding for the bottom. They make a nice hole in the middle to hold a pool of gravy. We make slightly sweetend scones or cheese scones which we slice the top off and spread with something delicious. Its really nice to watch you ❤

If someone cannot have the Mushrooms, you can use TVP granuals (hamburger replacement)... or crumbled tofu !

Or if you want to eat only whole food, instead of TVP they could just use crushed up soy curls.

🙏🏻 I LOVE country biscuits and gravy. Grandma didn’t always make biscuits, she sometimes used slices of toasted *leftover* homemade bread, smothered with peppery gravy and grandpa’s homemade sausage. I gotta try this plant-based sausage. It sounds divinely satisfying with all those the mushrooms and spices❣️

New subscriber here. I found this this evening after spending the day watching other plant based and vegan recipes. This looks like I would only need to add a couple of ingredients to some of it to make vegan burgers or meatballs. Add a little hot sauce for tacos or burritos. Add some Bone Sucking' Sauce for some sloppys. If my son likes this, I will need to hide some somewhere to make sure I have some for me, and he isn't vegan. Yes, he likes some of my food. We have some meals that we collaborate together on like our stir-fry. I prep the veggies and cook the soba noodles and rices. He cooks the veggies in the wok. He is learning that with me, we use water and/or veggie stock. A couple of the veggies we use is eggplant and a small squash that is green all the way through and comes from Costa Rica. Yea, we like different. I can also see me using this in my plant based chili. The seasoning already in this will just give it a little extra flavor. I can think of a whole bunch of other ways to use this. Thank you for sharing this. This is a whole lot better than anything I can find in any store. I knew there had to be something better somewhere. I finally found it tonight. I will always know what is in this mixture because I will have made it myself. Again, thank you for sharing this recipe. Looking forward to some more. :)

I made this recipe and loved it. Biscuits and gravy are a staple in my house and I haven't had anything that tastes even remotely similar. These recipes are scrumptious! I made a giant batch of the sausage and have them in the freezer. Super easy to pop one in the microwave for a quick snack. Great crumbled in pasta sauce!! Thank you, Jill!!! Ps. Normal ice cream scoop dipped in warm water makes shaping the biscuits easy and fairly uniform. I also used gluten free flour.

​@@oceanlives4915 You can always skip the tamari / liquid aminos whenever they're added to make any of her recipes very low sodium! 🙂 The only other exception is the baking soda / powder in some of the baked goods, which you can also always skip-but just know that the end result for those will be more dense since baking soda / powder is a leavening agent (I still find them delicious anyway). There exists a no-salt baking powder too, but I have never tried it.

I cannot wait to make it for my family this weekend. Another of your great recipes in my file. My husband and I have been Vegan for a few years now, but I wanted to eat healthier. I pretty much only cook your recipes. I love the African Peanut Sauce. I made it for my friends as well as my family. Everyone LOVED it! I make your Apple Crisp at least twice a month. It is sooo good. Thank you for all your great recipes.

As a sausage, gravy and biscuit lover, I was excited to try this recipe. Did’t have all of the ingredients. No flax seeds so used hemp. No oats so used barley. Am baking the patties right now so not sure how they will come out. However, I left out a little just of the mixture to add to the gravy after it was cooked. I make einkhorn flour bread so crumbled up some of the bread instead of making the biscuits. Very tasty, even with my substitutions!

I jumped right in and made these today, and really love the biscuits and gravy! I did find the amount of red pepper flakes a bit much for the patties, so will have to remember to use a little less next time. Otherwise, my first experience of making a WFPB sausage patty was great. 😀 HAPPY 2023 to you and your family!

What if you don't have a food processor? Is there another way? And yum, this made my mouth water. And normally I don't like biscuits and gravy BECAUSE of all the meat and fats. Made me nauseated.

Glad you are mixing it up. I put "flours" in all my recipes because I like to have various, such as oat, buckwheat, and whole wheat in the same recipe. Chickpea flour is good too.
