hello! here’s a classic vanilla cake recipe that’s older than your grandmother ;) she’s still got it though! this recipe is vegan, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, and soy-free. it’s also super easy to make without compromising on flavor and texture. this video will also tell you how to use this recipe for cupcakes!
recipe for one 8-inch (20 cm) cake, or 18 cupcakes:
ap flour: 240 g / 2 cups
sugar: 220 g / 1 cup + 2 tbsp
salt: 1/2 g or just a pinch
baking soda: 5 g / 1 tsp
water: 200 mL / 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp
white vinegar: 2 g / 1/2 tsp
vegetable oil: 35 g / 1/8 cup + 1 tsp
vanilla extract: 5 g / 1 tsp
350F / 175C
35-40 minutes for cake
19 minutes for cupcakes with liners, 22 minutes for cupcakes without liners
