Hey It's been about 12 days since I bought my Velocity and due to using it a lot, the string thinned. It makes a lot of noise on using this string. But if I use the extra string it doesn't make noise. Is this normal. It also sometimes returns to my hand in unresponsive mode

I actually have this yoyo, but an older model, I got it years ago from another company but it still works throughout the years. Glad to see my yoyo get a review!

i have a velocity yoyo and i think the velocity can break easily around the dial if you accidently throw it hard beause around the adjusting dial has thiner plastic. (by the way i dont know about other plastic yoyos) And i bought a Shutter yoyo from you guys! Thanks to all members of yoyotricks!

is this yoyo can change either responsive yoyo or unresponsive yoyo?

I'm a beginner with yo-yo's and I got this to practice binds. The way they had the string installed from the factory (they had it in a loop similar to how the finger loop is) made the yo-yo semi-responsive even when set to the "pro". It was making learning tricks a bit scary because I could never tell when the yo-yo was going to return. I just figured it out and re-installed the string the way it is shown in the video and it's much better now! No more unwanted returns!

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in on this YoYo as someone who is generally new to this hobby. It just arrived for me two days ago. I was wanting to purchase a sage yoyo but living in the UK its not so easy to get hold of one. I'd seen a few posts mentioning this yoyo and as someone who had only owned a yoyo once before years ago I figured this would help me get into the more advanced tricks when I'm ready to do so. Compared to a cheapo yoyo I owned a few years back that had a switch that would let you go from unresponsive to responsive to no sleeping this yoyo sleeps unbelievably easy. Just letting go of the yoyo generates enough spin for it to sleep. And it comes right back up to your hand very easy once you have it dialled in. However, I'm finding the more responsive I have it set to, the more difficult it is for me to do any tricks due to the pads making contact with the string on string tricks and this often makes it lose speed quickly or become off balance. Having said that I'm not so great at string tricks yet so it could just be inadequacy on my part. Another note. As I didn't buy from YoTricks I got my yoyo with the string already on. And the string it comes with is fairly short. I'm 6'5" but this string seems short even for someone who is smaller. I have more strings on the way so I can make them up to my height. Something you may want to consider when buying this Yoyo. Anyway. Hope this beginners insight has helped anyone in someway.

I just got mine a few days ago but after using it a lot it doesn’t sleep long enough for me to preform any trix, Any ideas on why that is? (I watched your video on why the yoyo won’t sleep but it didn’t help )

This was one of my favorite yoyos, but I somehow managed to break the dials and now the response pads are misaligned and come out crooked... are there any other yoyos with a hybrid shape like this one? I think I'll get a Fizz, but I'd like something with response pads too.

I just got this yoyo about an hour ago, and now I started wondering how I'm supposed to lube it, I can't manage to get the bearing off of the yoyo. Also, the spacer is stuck on the other half of the yoyo :/

I was just so very coincidentally eyeing this yoyo yesterday, and was almost about to purchase it... though I thought I should go read some forums and ask some questions first. So this came at a very good time! One thing though, for future videos: when buying a yoyo, I'm more interested in what it can NOT do well, and maybe an alternative yoyo for each thing that it cannot do (maybe even a reverse comparison of other ways in which THIS one is better than that one as well). Of course, maybe that'd make the video too negative, so I dunno... just food for though. ^^

I know the video stated that this yoyo sleeps up to and past 3 mins. But is that with the unresponsive switch engaged or with the responsive? If it is either or sleep how long does it sleep with the later engaged?

Is there a way to take of the spacer of the velocity sticking to the bearing with out a thumbnail or a knife? Also, after cleaning a bearing, do we have to reshieild the bearing?

I actually like this yoyo a lot. But my velocity is broken. I was practicing some tricks and it hit the wall hard, and it cracked part of the yoyo internals. I took it apart and sorta fixed it. That was my fault. Otherwise. Great yoyo

I got this yoyo about 3 years ago and cience then i had the response pads touching at all times and used it like that for quite a while and now that I got back to it the spin time is non existent (20s) and even on pro mode when I tug the string it comes back, i am a beginner still but should i consider replacing everything or jast get a new one (keep in mind that I didn't know i had to maintain it even though I never used it on pro mode)

Hello, I am a beginner. I bought this yoyo, I am not able to make it sleep for more than 20 secs. I wanted to know that is it a problem in my throw or the settings of my yoyo. please help

I just got my Velocity from you guys today in the mail and after playing with it all day, I noticed something. My Velocity, with both dials turned all the way to pro, still returns to my hand from a sleeper with a tug. Not sure if that's normal for a Velocity, but I was under the impression that it's not supposed to work that way. Any thoughts on what may be wrong or is that common with this yoyo? Also, how often should I have to lube this thing?
