While Josh and Kelly were on their roadtrip making the "Among Friends" ablum and video series, we got to meet up and film a video for my channel too! This version of Ventura Highway by America was a blast to shoot. I sent Josh the basic song structure that I wanted ahead of time and said, "Feel free to put a solo in it, whatever you want!" He showed up and tore it apart. It was rad. Josh and Kelly are such sweet people and are both immensly skilled and talented.

There are so many things going on the video and I love every single thing. The red dress lady, the couples, the kids shouting, the sounds of birds and waves. It is so wholesome.

Two immensely talented people sing what is a world class version of one of my favorite songs of all time, while people enjoy the beautiful day at the beach. This song brings back waves of nostalgia of driving down to San Diego from San Francisco with my boyfriend to visit his aunt. It was 1973. I was 15. He was 16. She wasn't expecting us. His mom didn't know he left town. My parents never noticed I was gone. Starting out in the fog.The sea cliffs. The coastal cypress, the smell of eucalyptus. No itinerary. A few dollars to buy gas and a sandwich. Ending up in Balboa Park in the fog. Teenagers. His aunt was furious! Had to get back to school. Slept in the car overnight.Turned around and went back to the Bay Area the next morning without seeing her. Listening to America.

This is so beautiful it made me cry. Nostalgic memories as a kid in the car going fishing with my dad. Windows down, hand playing in the wind. Not a care in the world. Thank you!

That was fabulous! I am 60 now, and that was right in our wheel house when we used to perform at the local trendy shopping mall when we were in High School. That tune sounds as good today as it ever did. Great rendition!!!

Wow, heavy weight talents, not one, but two. You arranged to have birds flying, the innocence of children laughing with the most famous line ever spoken on this earth perfectly spoken on que "mommy look!". On top of that you planted a lighthouse on the distant shore, and hauled in tons of extras to just walk around and provide that beautiful "beach" look. Stunning what can be done with green screen technology today 😇 Actually I was nervous as heck you were going to draw a crowd and they were going to ruin your recording lol. I'm sure both of you, humble and gracious guys that you are would have accommodated each and every admirer.
