We appreciate the feedback, Constructive criticism constantly pushes us to improve. We have rcently improved the quality of the gloves, our Boxing athletes have come to test different materials and constructions at the factory (in Thailand) to bring you the best feeling. All our professional gloves are handmade, the new construction of these gloves requires a high level of skill and know-how. the new combination of materials is more developed and requires more investment, that's why prices have gone up on some of these pro boxing models.

Thank you for your feedback! Definitely a big fan of the hammers but wish the design/ look of the pro boxing glove line was different from your standard line of gloves. More of a classical boxing look that’s venum inspired. Outside of that, love the quality and especially performance.

QUICK UPDATE! I was just told that Venum has INCREASED the price of their Velcro gloves by $50 to $219! I’m not sure the reasoning behind this but that’s very high considering the competition. I feel the previous price of $169 was already on the border of what people were willing to pay. The lace ups have also increased to $249.

Hey Carlo! Thanks for the content man, your recommendations have been a guiding light for me when it comes to picking boxing gear. That said, I grabbed up a pair of these per your recommendation and was just wondering what was the best way to care for them? I've never owned anything this glossy. Also how long do you think they'll hold up with heavy use? Thanks again brotha, stay up!

thanks they should hold up well over time, make sure to air them out, clean them and condition with leather conditioner (any type is good)

I know I'm late as heck commenting on a video from 9 months ago but I was wanted to know if the padding from the hammers is similar to other gloves in boxing or Muay Thai? maybe to get an idea of what they might feel like

Quick question for a friend who wants to get into amateur fights, VENUM HAMMER Pro or this one( both in 16 0z ) for a power puncher(heavy weight guy in HW category , athletic build ) , for heavy bags , mitts and sparring ,both velcro version including thumb support,wrist support, durablity.Which boosts confidence to punch harder you know initially to get that feel for going harder in training as he is trying to climb the ladder in his league. which you recommend overall as you have more experience? For practise sessions obviously as harder the practice easier the fight ! Kindly reply brother!! , YOU RECOMMENDED HAMMERS OVER THOSE , WHY SO ? WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF THIS OVER THAT FOR THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS ?

Another great review. I’d personally like to see Venum step away from the OTT MMA style flashiness of their new boxing glove lineup. I much prefer boxing gloves to be clean and simple. That being said I’m a huge Rival fan and they’re known for being pretty loud. As bag gloves go, how would you say these stack up (overall) against the Rival RB10s? I already have the rivals but may pick a pair of these Venums up as it’s always nice having more options. Great review mate as always, literally the go to guy for gear reviews for me now.

Thanks for the feedback and support, I agree, Im more of a fan of subdued looks. These dont protect as well as the RB-10 however the feedback is better, you know when you make contact with the bag and it feels great.

As someone who is told their fairly heavy handed would you say that going with the Giant or the Shield variants of this glove would be better for a sparring glove. Kind of want to turn my Sabas Supersofts into a purely heavy bag glove and then invest in one of these types for a dedicated sparring gloves. So as someone who relatively heavy hands do you think I should try and break these in a lot or just opt for one of the softer foam versions?

Based on the criteria you listed I would definitely go with the shields, they’re more comfortable and the padding is forgiving as well as protective.

Am i putting my hands in boxing gloves wrong? I dont put my fingers all the way down in the compartmen, i actually just grab the grip bar the tip of my fingera and it works pretty well for me

Great Review. Have you seen the new "Adidas Japanese Lace or Velcro Training Gloves"? I don't find a single review or video about those. Adidas asks for 500$. More than for a pair of Winnings...

Thanks! Yes I have and I’m familiar with the gentleman who makes them for Adidas, Jason Neese, who owns 1v1 fightgear. I actually did a review on his 1v1 pro training gloves a while back which I can imagine is very similar to his Adidas gloves in terms of construction and quality. Check it out when you get a chance!

They’re great gloves! A little more on the plush side in terms of knuckle padding and more broken in feeling. Good all around gym gloves.

How would you compare the density of the foam compared to the Rival RB11? Firmer, more forgiving or about the same?

Id say a hair less firm and a little more broken in than RB11. Both protect very nicely.

I've got the Rival RS11V. They're great for sparring but dont find them optimal for the heavy bag or mitts. I find them too padded to get a good feel and correct feedback for hand placement. When I'm tired I'm connecting poorly with the bag and so causing myself wrist and hand problems (not knuckle). How do these (Hammers) compare with the RS11V size and profile ?

Rs11v is made for sparring (primarily) which is why they’re not the best for feedback. The rb11 is the bag version of that glove which is better for pop and power. The hammers definitely give more feedback than the rs11v

Ive used the RB11 and did a review as well. More more protective than hammers, about the same comfort level, but not as much feedback as hammers. Hammers you can feel the shot more.

I've been wondering if I should get the Everlast MX gloves, These venum gloves, Rival RS-100, or the Infinitude. Price is not *that* much of an issue more about durability/Performance. What do you think?

I just got a new pair of 12Oz Loma edition Hammer today and found it pretty stiff and the right hand feel not as comfortable as the left hand. Are these pair of gloves need break in period to make them more snug and fit?

Wrist support is decent, about middle of the road. They weigh a little more than 14 ounces

Matt Walker for pad work yes, for bag work just depends on if you prefer less protection, and obviously no for sparring.

Jecerey quality wise they aren’t as good as Reyes. But I still prefer them over Reyes because of the comfort, padding and overall feel

Size wise very similar, leather wise Decha uses traditional Thai style full grain leather where these Venums use softer nappa leather. Feedback on the Venum Hammer is better, but overall quality I'd say they're about equal. Just depends on the feel you're looking for.

Are they compact or large like Reyes. I have 8,5” hand circumference Also side note , why would they make the premium product with the cheaply recognized same logo! The only boxer who can make Venum look good was Naseem Hamed, since he is no longer, they have to rebrand their symbol and logo! That snake teeth is not something we like in America. Taiwan may love it, but USA we love Bulls, Lions or just simple text, Venum with a VM styled a little is good enough.
