thank you for reacting to verivery!! the muffled sound isn't in the actual song, it's just for the mv but i feel like it really emulates the presence of a literal barrier!! and so do some of the dance moves in the chorus, it's such a good reference to the concept of the song :D

I only now paid attention and got it: they are behind a glass wall, and the MV first gives us the sound from one side of the wall and then from the other. They are trying to break the wall, it is in the choreography, and 2:56 we see the glass broken.

there is glass thts y we heard muted sound like . is like we screaming through the glass to other side . at 3.20 of ur video only then the glass is break and u can hear the voice clearly because theres no wall anymore .
