Having Yuki in the car is basically DRS, his helmet is so low down you don't even see him on the onboard.

Yuki always opened his drs way before the actual drs line so he won like 1-2 tenths i think or more. Thats why he had such great lap times, but still he has a lot of potential.

Disagree. Max is using the track a little bit more to decrease the steering angle and taking more speed out of the corner. Put the video on pause when they start steering into the corner and you will see the difference. For a rookie Yuki did great. Imagine if he gains experience and starts to fine tune the steering like Max did.

He activated it way early on the start too. Notice how much sooner he reaches the corner than Max (6.160). It is all fine of course. But being on a softer compound and using DRS way early this lap is very unpresentable.

I thought this video would ultimately get everyone to realize the truth, as everyone should note that Max gets his DRS indication lights only when they're supposed the turn on, i.e., while crossing the activation lines. If DRS usage were free in testing, every driver would've got it activatable outside the designated zones, not only the trio of Tsunoda-Gasly-Alonso, so clearly either a universal FIA system fault (that only affected three cars this way, and two other in another way) or an Alpha Tauri (and Alonso's Alpine) car-specific error. More likely the latter. Let's put it this way: If FIA allowed unrestricted use, why would they only grant three drivers with this freedom and not everyone equally? Just no way around this: A malfunction caused these things.

@@yumyum4660 if you watched the highlight video of pre-season testing day 3 you could see but you can also see by the color of their tyres. Yuki's are darker that Max'
