I disagree. Dooku is clearly the better duelist and he is pretty much equal to him in force abilities. Dooku wins 7/10 just my opinion though

I agree with the verdict! Dooku blade work will bypass Galen guard. But since Galen has intense training from proxy, he can recognize the forms, even adapt to them( create his methods). Including his sessions with Vader. High kinetic blows is what form 5 is base of. (Form 2 weakness). Despite dooku knowing the weaknesses of all 7 forms he underestimated Anakin and got his hands cut off and his head too. And that is dooku problem, underestimates people, including the ones that has the abilities too out class him (Darth maul). And Galen can exploit that, if it came down to a fight too the death, and Galen is on his last leg because dooku landed a incapacitated strike. Arcourse dooku is going too talk him down and tell Galen he is no match for him. Than Galen uses that advantage to force surge(catch by surprise) the floor to uproot dooku balance. And use his lightsaber too cut him down. There's many different scenarios too add here!

Nice video, I really enjoyed it. I really liked your analysis of the characters, and i didn't even hear that about Dooku that he may be proficient in Jar'kai. Although I wouldn't put it past him. He was a master duelist. And yea, Marek would have a good chance, I think. Unless Dooku somehow took him completely by surprise Marek could match him and outlast him. Nice one! :)

Galen skills in soresu and shien will hold its ground to makashi. Galen is proficient with his bladework. His unorthodox approach with the reverse grip gives him more vectors(dexterous bladework) and angles to strike from. Juyo is base on all 7 forms so his offensive approach is overwhelming. But arcourse, dooku dabble in all seven forms himself to find out the weaknesses. And dooku knows the weaknesses of all seven forms. But Galen himself built his fighting style base on all 7 forms, he might hold his own against dooku badework but knowing dooku he'll penetrate his guard and find was ways to bypass it. But arcourse, Galen force abilities will dismantle dooku anytime

Fun video, well thought and consistent analysis. Luv the music selections for all your versus videos. Music was a bit too loud here, but you fixed that issue in kenobi vs vader. I agree with the verdict, for essentially the same reasons you give. Galen while fighting shaak-ti would slip up against dooku's superior fencing skills. However, the novel depicts galen when fighting vader to be more judicious in his fighting style, able to withstand vader onslaught and eventually score sabers hits to vader. Only after this did galen use the force to further his advantage. I don't think galen's force defenses to be weak...kota and kazdan was due too inexperience (1st two duels), improved shaak-ti never broke thru, and vader and sidious are two of the most powerful force users ever...galen did beat back vader's telekenetic attack and contain sidious's lightning for a short time...I consider his force defense to be equal to dooku's by the time of death star These two def at the same level: dooku slightly more precise and efficient with the saber and more experienced...galen slightly more potent in the force and better overall fighter able to use a combo of saber+physical strikes+force skills to stalemate and wear down dooku. Dooku showed fatigue in the ROTS novel, and galen is able to contend and tire the count. I know this is long but I'd appreciate your thoughts to my opinions. Your video would be improved if you let the music's volume remain understated rather than as a noise that competes with your voice. There are several parts of the video in which the music reaches a crescendo and is at least as loud as your voice, which makes it difficult to make out what it is that you're saying. You have a pleasant speaking voice - please don't corrupt it (plus undisciplined music makes videos frustrating for people who have hearing loss if that matters to you). Shorter version: don't fall into Jensaarai's inescapable habit of forcing a duel between the music and his voice (he pumps the music up and then dramatically fails to successfully shout over it).

Very good video. I consider Marek an overpowered Mary Sue, and since he was able to best Vader I would say he certainly would against Dooku, who is less powerful than Vader. However this would be a long, violent fight and I can see arguments for who wins going either way. If you consider Marek canon (I do not), he was powerful enough to force Palpatine into trickery and a fake like he used against Mace Windu in order to beat him, so it would make sense he can take out the Count.

Galen is just better in every way. Better physicality, a better duelist (maybe not technically) but good enough to heavily threaten anyone, far better combative force ability offensively (Dooku has better control), and he did beat Shaak Ti, whom I don't think is that far behind Dooku, who was amped by Fallucia, prepared, and had the planet and locals helping her. Best she did was almost suicide blow both of them. I'm not gonna say he could beat Sidious at the age he was, because honestly Sidious wasn't trying that hard, but he was dangerous enough that Sidious felt threatened. And the Starkiller clone was even more powerful and a better duelist.

5:01, funny, the ROTS novelization completely contradicts what you say here. It states how Anakin expected to be able to ware Dooku down, but due to Dooku's power in the Force, he could seemingly fight indefinitely (I'm paraphrasing). While Galen Marek does clearly get the physical edge, it's much closer than you seem to think (because you underrate Dooku in this regard). 11:35, according to the novelization, which more accurately depicts the events of TFU and TFU II, due to the games' exaggeration (which was even admitted, and the point, according to the games' developers), Galen Marek actually legitimately defeated Vader; not just via using the Force. He DEFEATED Vader through his use of the Force, but in the novelization, Galen is already winning the duel by then. I love Dooku, but Galen Marek has Dooku beat in every aspect aside from 2: Sith sorcery and quantity of force powers and abilities / force knowledge. And I suppose weaponry. I forgot Dooku has a weapon advantage over Marek's lightsaber. Other than the above, we agree. I'm glad too. The last few videos of yours I've commented on, I kinda ripped apart, which felt super mean. XD
