I head out to Santa Rosa Beach, FL to launch the Hobie and see what I can stick a hook in. The bait recently showed up and will be bringing the tarpon and cobia with it. I managed to hook into a big fish right out of the gate and many other overly confident fish on the troll. The water was insanely beautiful, per usual. Grateful to be able to share days like these.

How do you know where the artificial reef is without a fishfinder? I know you can get the coordinates on the website, but how do you get to them?

I do have a fishfinder/GPS. I have a Lowrance Hook 7" unit set up on my kayak. So that makes it easy.

@zacharyscott9146 You're welcome. It'll be well worth it to get one. There are tons of artificial reefs that are kayak distance down the coast here. From Santa Rosa Beach all the way to Navarre. In Navarre, there's a cluster of 26 of them all spaced out about 500 ft apart.

Sweet. Do you download maps that include the reefs or do you type in coordinates from the website and save them to your GPS?

@@zacharyscott9146 You can find them online in different places depending on which area you're looking for them in. Then I'll make sure they're the correct coordinate format and create the waypoint on my Lowrance.
