I got into a conversation with someone the other day and they wanted me to break down how I make shark rigs. I go into detail on what is needed, how to put it together, and explain how and why it works. Instagram - Scott Mikles

Thank you for the video. My wife and I recently started fishing for sharks and still working out the kinks. Your video was timely.

You're welcome, I appreciate the gratitude. Good luck to you both. You won't lose any with that rig.

👍👍👍 top notch mate I’m from UK 🇬🇧 that’s my rig for sharks 🦈 in Cape Verde islands…. Just a nice little thing i do different i slide shrink tubing over the haywire twist… sometimes that little spike that’s left has been nasty if it pulls into your hand with no gloves on… good video mate 😀😀👍👍

Thanks man! That's a nice addition to the haywire too. I definitely avoid grabbing the haywire twist like the plague lol What kind of sharks do you catch over there mostly?

Im curious, what is the Mano needed for? Can I just run wire instead? Do I need Mano?

The MONO is for shock and abrasion. Without the mono, the shark can snap the braid the wire is attached to because of the violent headshakes and jumps.
