5:03 “Makes you think twice” But Kingdom Hearts just told me Don’t Think Twice

At the first I played DDD I thought Joshua was talking about Neku. But I started to think: in The World Ends With You, at the start, Neku had one dream. He dreamed to be invisible to everyone, so no one would ever bother him. Now I think who Joshua described is Yozora because he said: "You kinda remind me of him". And well... Riku almost identical to Yozora.

Just glad KH 3DDD getting its respect finally.

I wouldn't bat an eyelash at this point if in the last game of the series, Sora finds out hes been a video game character all this time. The lastsecret boss ever could Be against Nomura himself, switching mechanics midbattle on the fly. 1 moment its kh1 style, next itkh3, then com, or melody of memory and so on, testing your knowledge of the series as a whole. A true final test of skill.

Quadratum apparently means "square." I think the "Fictional World" is gonna be Square Enix IPs.

If we could go to the TWEWY world in the next KH game, I wouldn't be shocked in the secret episode of kh3 hinted the damp, dark version of Shibuya/ffvs13 lookin place as verum rex and the colourful version of Shibuya as TWEWY

In Lovecraft lore, the world is believed to be a dream of the Blind Idiot God, Azatoth. Which lines up with Joshua’s line and role in TWEWY. Which also adds to the quadratum lore.

The split world part is something I think gets glossed over/forgotten, I hope in the next game they elaborate on how/what purpose the enemies have to split worlds so it can connect, and if we as the players can tell if the world is split by conduct as opposed to the characters just saying the world is split. (If it's in the secret reports then I've yet to read/find them) Good connection!

Oh my god I just realised something I could add to this So remember how Yozora said “But this isn’t what I really look like”? Well, I’m going to make a guess and say that his appearance was his wish in the Reaper’s Game; give up his appearance. His identity. It’s entirely possible his mission required secrecy.

It is possible that it is hinted. Joshua is able to go between dream worlds with having someone who dreams as reference to teleport. But Yozora is able to go to a dream world by himself without any reference which means that he has more power than Joshua. Also, Joshua in DDD always sits on a building looking Sora and Riku from there. YOZORA DID THE SAME THING IN RIKU'S DREAM (secret ending). BUT, the real question is not hint of Yozora. I think we forgot to ask how Sora went to Quadradum without any teleport. Secret ending shows hes in Quadradum, and REMIND shows that he is still in the Final World after he defeats Sora. Godmother says that they need that star as a reference to go to Quadradum. Or maybe Yozora's fight is just a dream and Sora was already in Quadradum?

There's also the fact that Joshua says 'he reminds me of you'. Since Riku and Yozora look very similar, that could be another hint that Joshua is referring to Yozora.

Joshua knowing Yozora wouldn't be to much of a stretch as he has the ability to jump into other worlds, but I would hesitate in saying that they all share a multiverse. I would say that they are more so there to expand on ideas and hint at plot points like the final fantasy characters did in the earlier games with an example being Vivi. From a business side that would be a hassle, as Nomura is only a creative producer for TWEWY. The whole dream thing with Yozora really isn't a big surprise with one of the key concepts of versus xiii and formerly xv, Noctis' dreams would lead him to other worlds and realities. The concept was somewhat scraped in XV, but we see him sleeping a lot and the omen cutscene is a confirmed alternate future. If anything I think the fabula nova crystalis lore will take a bigger role. Kingdom Hearts has a overarching thing with destiny and fate while FBC's main theme was fighting against fate.

I’m not surprised that KH is getting this meta. Anytime Nomura works on a game, there is at least one meta moment- and Kingdom Hearts is literally his baby. 😂 I absolutely love this, I’m so excited to delve into this direction the series is taking.

I recommend rewatching that scene with Xemnas & Young Xehanort in The Grid. Because what Xemnas said then has always confused/intrigued me. “Sora, what about you?? The bits and bytes that have made up your life so far. Can you say for certain that they aren’t copies of someone else’s??? You had better check. Make sure the box’s contents match what’s on the label. Since you have been chosen....” I always thought he was referring to either Ventus or Roxas, but now that I look back Yozora seems to be a more likely possibility. This could lean more towards the possibility that Yozora is an alternative version of Sora, hence why Xemnas said Sora’s life was a copy of someone else’s. Not that it’s an exact copy, but rather there is someone out there with a similar background as Sora.

I've been waiting for this video. I'm loving the fact that some of the story elements for verum rex might have been planned since DDD.

Ya know, I never even thought about the fact that Young Xehanort's involvement in DDD and KH3 happens to involve splitting worlds into two...it makes me think of the secret ending that shows Riku and Sora in what seem to be two separate locations, like the world of Quadratum is also split into two. Then we have Yozora, who says "This isn't what I really look like" and the nameless star (Or "Sora" for everyone who insists her name is Sora) says that he's been changed beyond recognition. It makes me wonder if Yozora was also split into two or something, hence having one red eye and one blue eye. That's pure speculation though, but it does seem like the concept of worlds being split apart is going to tie into the future of the series in some way. Also, this is reeeeeally stretching it, but remember who voice acts for Yozora: Dylan Sprouse, who has a twin, Cole Sprouse. I almost wonder if Yozora has some kind of twin or other self, who at some point will be voiced by Cole Sprouse. That might be why he was chosen for the role in the first place, and why they technically treated the reveal of him being the voice actor as if it was a spoiler....but once again that's a biiiiiig stretch, I'm just brain storming with the whole thought of parallel worlds and selves in mind.

Done and done! I have offically subscribed to the secret reports now.

A grand ordeal for Sora that will help him see he gives them strength as much as they give him strength and more.

Well, Joshua can travel between universes (he canonically spent the Third Week in the "Another Day" universe playing Tin Pin Slammer). Quadratum might be an alternate universe counterpart to KH and TWEWY's Tokyo.

the whole young xehanort toy box thing made me think that the world (toy box) is just a dream and that everyone is in this group dream together (would kinda explain xehanort being able to send Sora into the shooting game if that makes sense). maybe when Mickey Donald and Goofy went to toy box, they couldnt find any clues toward Sora because the world isnt sleeping any more and people are all over the place etc. Oh boy i love speculation and theory crafting lol

You seriously blow my mind prodigy! All these connections with young Xehanort and toy box and the two traverse towns. He’s probably the most important of all the Xehanorts to my common knowledge. He didn’t even forgive sora when he was finally defeated in the keyblade graveyard.

Wasn't it mentioned in ddd that the world being split in 2 because riku unknowingly dived into sora's dreams after sensing something was wrong? And if young xehanort was the the reason for the split in ddd and toy box wouldn't that mean toy box was a sort of sleeping world

In Twewy itself, spoilers Joshua is an Angel, an Higher Dimensional being. For them, jumping and shifting dimensions/ universes is easy. There are also multiple versions of them, which may be Dark or Light. Mom is similar. He even has a proxy, Sora.

Yeah, these do seem like very solid clues thst Nomura was throwing at us in his usual vague way. That man is such a genius sometimes. I am curious how this applies to The Country of the Musketeers, Symphonia of Sorcery and The Grid. Speaking of lore stuff. While not related to DDD, I do believe that the scene of Riku-Replica talking to Pete and Maleficent in San Fransokyo is very interesting, especially when looking at the most recent Union Cross updates. This also applies to a few scenes in the Keyblade Graveyard that involved Riku-Replica. Make comparisons to 'Darkness' in the recent Union Cross updates since his introduction to Maleficent and you may see what I'm talking about.

The scene of Dream Drop Distance Joshua refers to Beat, since he is the one character that says has no dreams and also is the character that is similar to Riku arc wise which is a mildly funny scene considering that in that exact scene Beat makes his debut on the game.

when DDD was being written I assume nomura was still in control of versusxiii/xv so there would have been no need for yozora to even exist since Nomura still had Noctis. Unless he was planning on having yozora also exist as a meta reference, though it seems Yozora exists now purely to reincarnate the true noctis that was taken from him. Its a cool thought though.

It's a bit weird because in twewy dreams are more referring it goals. Ive recently played twewy im more confused as to how and why twewy characters ended up in the dream world but the game the its more like a world in between death and being alive.

The director of KH confirmed that Shibuya. of TWEWY and the world of Verum Rex are two different worlds. Then of course it is now clear that in the next chapters there will also be the Square Enix worlds

Yozora didn't even exist at this point in time since ff versus xiii was still in development at that time so why would he be talking about yozora? Neku in twewy didn't have dreams. But his were the most powerful of all because he was the only one able to use all pins which is something not anyone else can do. I really don't think twewy characters have anything to do with this new arc and that people are mostly just saying it is because it takes place in a city that's like shibuya. Hell, they don't even have the same name

Wow this give me whiplash. Not because it is bad I really liked the video and it got me to think. I actually have/had several theories like it which I kind of dropped after KHMOM. Mostly because Dreams and Sleep are things connected with Darkness(element) which Xehanort says doesn't work in Reality 2. Or at lest doesn't work the same way as it does in Reality KH. Still as far as we know Xehanort never went to Reality 2 so what is to say that Dreams and Sleep are not powers there. Also one has to wonder if there is a secondary element that makes the realm of sleep different then the realm of darkness. It is my theory that Light(element) can't exist in the realm of sleep without waking people and things up or if it does exist it also has to be in a state of sleep and thus is unable to act. Anyway since there likely is a third element that has something to so with Sleep thus making if different then the realm of darkness and there is a lot of this third element in Reality 2 then there might be a lot of Realm of Sleep like things in Reality 2. One of my hopes for the future of the story is that places like the Realm of Sleep, the Realm of Darkness, the Unchained Realm, Data Worlds, and even the Realm of Light got to be explained. If the Dark Seeker Saga was the interdiction to the story and all these places then this next saga has to be beginning of act 2 where we learn about the true villain and how the world really works instead of just guessing. There is so much about the Realm of Sleep that we learn about in DDD the only problem is that the game also contradicts what it says the realm of sleep is and what it like. Which means something very fishy was going on in DDD and we don't really understand what is happening in that realm. It does make a lot of sense to me that all the realms are going to be explained better. Maybe even as close as UX and DR after all both have very questionable settings that don't make sense, or work the same way as the games that take place afterward have set up. Which tells me that there is missing pieces, as so far the writers have been very good at lace instead of holes. It is also true that Reality 2 and Reality KH seem to share the Final World and we know that the Final World is deeply connected to the realm of sleep. So that means that the the realm of sleep and Reality 2 might also touch in some way or at the very lest the realm of sleep is the closest Realm to Reality 2. So because of that closeness it might make a lot of sense that Reality 2 can only be seen through the fog of sleep. A sleep so deep that sound is impossible to hear. Still just because one has to pass though the realm of sleep in some way to get to or see Reality 2 doesn't mean that is part of the Realm of sleep. Joshua seemed really shocked of how dreams worked. Which means even if the power is somewhat similar to what he is use to it isn't quite the same. Just close enough that he was able to use it to his own liking. Thanks for making this video, I had forgotten about the hints that there is something very odd connecting the realm of sleep to Reality 2. I think that I have come up with an answer that I like, though I am not sure that I explained it well. At lest something along these lines is what I am going to go with until we learn more which we most likely will at some point maybe sooner then we think. I really think that DR has something to do with the realm of sleep in some way given it's really odd Time impossibilities without a lot of retcon which KH doesn't really do.

Well if Rex's world is a world without darkness and light then its pretty much a fact that that they cant summon any heartless maybe not even a keyblade. That's why they was in toy story playing with the artificial hearts the toys had if they could somehow get a heartless heart an put it in a robot on Rex's world then they would be able to have controlled heartless in a world without darkness. Its ironic because everything has been pointing to this because they have proven with data sora you can make a data keyblade an data heartless they know how to do it an how to put a heart inside data as well. All they needed to see is if an artificial heart could control a robot or a toy an they was successful in doing so in the toy story world. So they know how to create or capture a heartless heart an they know how to put it inside of data an they know doing so to a mechanical robot in Rex's world witch is basically data would allow that heartless to control that mechanical body regardless if darkness doesn't exist their they can make data darkness or heartless

I really like the idea your suggesting. Its possible that Joshua could be referring to Yozora being someone Riku reminds him off. However it is sort of a hard sell because Nomura already said in an interview that Shibuya from TWEWY is NOT the same world as Quadratum. So the characters from TWEWY have no real correlation to Quadratum You make a statement that Joshua could have teleported to Quadratum but that wouldnt make a ton sense from KH story perspective. Further more...the Traverse town in DDD is a dream/sleeping world....if your idea holds true then that would mean that Quadratum is also a dream/sleeping world. Which does seem possible but then that would cancel out the idea of Quadratum being an "unreality"/fictional world idea presented in the game.

Thing thing i hate about DDD is that sometimes it feels like the developers did not put as much effort into the game compared to BBS, the 3DS being more powerful Devices then the PSP yet Gameplay aspect, or at the very least the animation is worse compared to BBS. this is just me nit picking, Even the Ursler boss fight her eyes did not move like in KH1.
