Quick recovery on Hells Revenge to help with a trail repair. We happened to have an axleshaft for a customers custom rear axle, but they were having trouble getting the bearing race out of the axle tube. So we ran out and helped them. Then we had to deliver some power steering fluid to the creek crossing area of the Kane Creek Trail. We came in from the top and down Hamburger Hill to get to them quickly. Helped them get the steering system bled out and filled. Then they followed us out so we could assist them if they needed it on the climbs out. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

Here’s something you have no idea of! You have no idea how much I appreciate your way to and from your exploits without having to listen to some stupid royalty free music clips, but instead hear the soft complaints of trail maters tyres, and your rumbustious voice talking about what’s ahead!

Years ago, I was heading to Alaska with my nephew and we had a 1991 F-250 and we were pulling a heavy trailer. We were pulling the hill leaving Blythe, CA and the tranny overheated blowing out all the fluid. I had forgotten to bring tranny fluid with us. Middle of the night calling around and only one shop said they would bring us some, For $500.00! WHAT? We were only a few miles from town. No one else would come, I looked in my gear and all I had was some Chainsaw Bar Oil, being a little ticked off about what I considered to be robbery, I dumped in the bar oil and told my nephew let's say a prayer, the we took off and Woo Hoo it worked. A mechanic down the road told me that the tranny I had you could put any oil in it and it wouldn't hurt it, took us all the way to Alaska and years later still doing great up here winter and summer.

In a pinch you can use PS fluid, motor oil in an automatic transmission. Not the best long term but it'll get you to the local walmart or autoparts store to get the right fluid

There are NO off-road or off-road *recovery* channels that I've watched, that are as consistent as this one - in providing their viewers with amazing camera angles *and* views of the surrounding landscape. And come to think of it - a lot of trail repairs, as well. Definitely maintaining #1 (in my opinion) of most-anticipated / enjoyed content here on KZfaq... and I watch a *LOT* of KZfaq! I'm assuming some of the main reasons you used the jeep today and not the wrecker were no need for a towed recovery, and most importantly the closed in cab with air-conditioning! People may not realize that the average high temperature in August in Moab can easily be 110° F (43.3° C) or more! And like you said before that's why you have different recovery vehicles for different purposes. Today, that jeep looks down right comfortable!! Haha 🌞🔥

as I've said in their channels. Matt and Paul are building fresh rigs. (Yes I know Paul has a history with papa sherms wrecker) However, Rory has had plenty of time to know his rig inside and out. He's got a heel of a machine and he knows exactly what it'll do. Paul knew Sherms wrecker, but now it's going to be a learning process.

Rory, take a dremel tool or wizzer wheel, (worn down wheel) and grind a notch in the race, deep as you can without digging into axle housing, you can grind it on less of an angle than 90 degrees. Then take a cold chisel and smack it down in the groove you made and BING the race will pop, it won't be a full race anymore, it will come right out. 10 minutes you have iy out no heat. WEAR GLASSE WHEN DOING THIS, RACES SHATTER A LOT WHEN YOU DO THIS.
