What I love about your reviews is you wait a while after the initial unboxing video to do a full review. So that new knife syndrome where we get a bit carried away and call everything the best thing ever, doesn't apply and it's a more real genuine opinion.

I'd guess the jacket is VG-10, but who really knows. I have a MBK MOG with sanmai ZDP-189 and they also don't say what the jacket it. Kind of annoying.

Very nice! I just traded my Maxace Black Mirror for a Gamo Hunter .177 cal with a Hawke 4x16x50 ir (about $500) scope. Told him what I paid for it $127 but he wanted. Nice

You might be able to find a screw with a larger head for a left side thumb stud.

Looks nice, like a lot of other Maxace, but it doesn't really call to me. I like that they include extra hardware. I think I only have a couple that included hardware and they were a lot more expensive. Yes, I 100% agree on the Sebenza thumb stud. If it wasn't for that thing I would probably have a few variants of the Sebenza.

I can get my CRKs to flick open but it takes a lot wrist action. Has anybody ever removed all the grease from the pivot, cleaned the knife real well, oiled the pivot and then tried the action?

Jacketed ZDP-189 is apparently the only version that can be imported now. It's the reason Spyderco quoted for the pure ZDP line being discontinued

Hi there! I am wondering why always measure blade length and cutting edge? EDC knife will cut maximum a cardboard. Main is the handle I think. I love your channel, could you add some grams? For me it is I need to go to converter for you it is just a button on scale)

Many states have a maximum blade length to remain legal to carry, that's why most reviewers from North America try to mention the blade length in their reviews.

im a lefty, and the fact that they didn't even at least give us dual thumb studs is a really weird choice. i would've picked one up because i love everything else about it.

Maxace is one of the worst when it comes to left handed use, even on their budget stuff. Love their designs, but I'll stick to Kunwu, WE, Kizer, Kansept, Artisan Cutlery, and all the other companies that throw us a bone sometimes.

Kansept hardly ever has lefty clip positions, I never buy them because of that, I love their designs but all the ones I want are right hand only

For the $288 price it may not be bad, but it looks a little less svelt than a CRK, and I'd rather spend the extra at $425 for small plain Jane Inkosi in S45VN (in stock too).

I had a thought. I have no trouble carrying a $600 handgun or a $1500 rifle. Why should I have a problem carrying a $500 knife? Food for more thought.

Not a sebenza fan, always was kinda meh about them. Asteti s aside im really becoming a fan of maxace. I mean all this for 288 is mind-boggling, however non bearing is deal breaker for me

Bearings are great if it's poorly finished product, or just a toy for you. A well finished knife with washers will have a good action and be more reliable.

@@andyhayward1261 That's not what I said but go off. What I said that one shouldn't see washers as a deal breaker. Washers can and usually will provide a good action, and there's not a single argument where bearings would win over them when it comes to functionality and durability. They only really offer benefits on cheaper knives which would have garbage action on washers due to poor finishing, and stuff that relies on "fidget factor".

I thought all knife reviewers had their names tattooed on their forehead? Or on their butts. 😂 But yes Maxace should remove Maxace from the blade and just put on a tiny logo instead. The Peregrine is a great knife.
