Every season before you put it up....Then run it a few miles around circling the neighborhood every time the winter takes a couple days break.

This is probably too late for your use, but here goes for later viewers :I owned a 2012 Fly 50 4V for a while. A./ It was bulletproof dependable. B./ Speedo would get to 40 on totally flat ground, which by my GPS speed app was actually 37-38.... On any tiny downhill it would go to 43 (40).. C./ Without modifications, the Fly 50 is fine climbing short hills here around the Chicago western suburbs, BUT it is not a two-person machine on any long climb. It will climb, but you will have a line of upset cars and trucks behind you. ( I'm nervous on a scooter already - don't need to know I've got 10 pissed off drivers waiting to pass me ) D./ The seat is large, and takes a second rider quite well if neither is oversize, but acceleration from a dead stop will suffer when a second rider is aboard. And top speed will be 34-35 with two average persons. Summary : Fine for an inner city apartment dweller ,or as a suburban go-to-the-store 2 miles away errand runner. Good for on-campus or maybe a mile off campus, but not for commuting. I sold mine and got the FLY 150 - it is the same size frame and will pass for a 50cc if you are careful about speeding....... . I just was too confined with the 50cc lack of oomph and got bored with traffic tie-ups.

Vespa Motorsport THANK YOU for the link. The only one that’s got the right shape of the headlight (not round) is this model SKU FLY16-PA but it’s too tall and it’s for 2014 - newer model. Mine is a 2010. Do you sell a smaller version for my scooter year? (Crossing my fingers!)

So back when I purchased my fly 150 it turns out it had a glaze on the CVT transmission, it was in the shop for over a week. Which explained why I couldn't get it above 40mph. After they fixed it, I topped out at around 60 - 65mph.

Should be air cooled, 2 valves.

Get them from Vespa Motorsport or order them from brixa in Italy.

For long rides hard seats are better.

@@thomaslemay8817 I dont know about that. My tail bone hurts when I ride the Fly. I had a Honda 2010 elite and I could ride that all day.

@@thomaslemay8817 Fly is a little heavy too - but it has good performance so I keep it.

Mine’s seat is wayyy softer and more comfortable than the liberty. I couldn’t imagine wanting a much softer seat
