Thank you so much for getting back to me. While petting my cat, back in early March, I found that his left neck lymph was slightly swollen and took him to the vet for assessment. He suspected upper respiratory infection and, without ANY clinical examination or blood test, he started administering tetracycline injections, as my cat's stomach could not tolerate the Vibramycin pill initially prescribed. These injections were done on a daily basis for 11 days. Except for the very first injection, which initially seemed to reduce the swelling of the lymph significantly, the ones that followed not only did NOT make things better, but, to the contrary, even worse than before, as the lymph once more became swollen, and at a greater extent, and the cat started having a sore throat. I set this out to the vet, who is generally considered to be very experienced and knowledgeable, but he insisted on continuing the injections indefinitely. At the evening of day 11 (23 March), and while the vet had seen him earlier in the morning at his practice, my cat suddenly became sick. The very next day (24 March), I took him to the vet again, who then found that the cat had high fever, provided subcutaneous hydration and changed the injected substance (in hindsight, I can tell that he immediately understood that the cat was poisoned by the drugs, but he intentionally kept completely silent). This same, new treatment was repeated for another two days (25 and 26 March), when I finally decided to interrupt this 'treatment' and change vet asap, as my cat was feeling and obviously being even worse (and this, after having visited the vet EVERY SINGLE DAY from 12 to 16 March and from 19 to 26 March!). At the end, on 29.03, only two days prior to my cat's passing due to acute drug-induced toxicosis and haemolytic anemia, and while being hospitalised and treated by another vet, already from 27 March on, who was desperately trying to reverse the damage, the cat vomited a 5cm ponpon. THIS foreign object, which apparently had been in the cat's stomach for weeks, eventually proved to be the real reason for the swelling of his neck lymph. Which means that my cat had been administered with unnecessary, inappropriate and irrelevant injected antibiotics on a daily basis, for 11 plus 3 (i.e. 14) consecutive days, and suddenly collapsed due to acute drug-induced hepatotoxicity and hemolytic anaemia. He was almost 12 years old, and had overall, preventive check-ups twice a year since the age of 9. A healthy, shiny, happy and highly energetic cat that looked more like a kitten. In his blood work of last July (2023), we found that his liver enzymes were slightly elevated, thus he had a liver sensitivity and should be treated with caution. He was eating high quality veterinary prescription food, taking Hepatiale Forte supplement capsules and was also monitored by a homeopath vet (who administered Lycopodium in regular, recurring intervals). And then this incident came, whose inappropriate, negligent handling by the vet proved fatal. There are no words to describe my frustration to have lost my cat, despite having been a diligent pet parent. It is something that entirely surpasses my capacity of understanding and evaluating things. I really appreciate that I had the chance to share this with you and other readers. When it comes to topical use, how serious is the risk of antibiotic resistance? I've looked into zymox and its enzyme system. Seems like bacteria and fungi are not able to build resistance towards the enzymes zymox uses.

What is a probiotic you would recommend for a 14 year old Cockapoo who has SARDS? She is on Clavamox 180mg for an infected toenail. I do give her sauerkraut and Pro-Em 1 liquid probiotic.
