I bought one of these about a year ago and use it to pull my '65 F100 project back up an incline into the shop from the driveway. Used a Redhead anchor in the slab and it works like a charm. With the wireless control I can sit in the cab and steer as it pulls. Great cheap solution to save your back.

What a great but of kit Tony a fine addition to your workshop. Like you have said. My friend gonna save ya a lot of time and much better than struggling to put items in your storage space. Maybe you could look into a harness save you climbing that ladder use it to haul you up there your own personal lift 😁 keep up the amazing work mate so glad to see your outstanding workmanship and effort finally being recognized love the channels and the things that you do ♥️👌

Would have been useful to put Crusty;s shell back over the frame. Would of saved you all those light refreshments it took to coerce your lifting team around😀

Hope it has a decent duty cycle on it that it doesn't get hot and shut off on you in the middle of using it. Good idea!!

cool, it can be a hoist and a winch. Hoists move things vertically, winches move them horizontally. It's all in the construction of the frame of the hoist and winch.

Fitzee love the channel. As much as I love the cutting rust out and welding in new metal, your 66 mustang videos are my all time favourite. Would love to see more content on it as you finish it up! You make it all look fun and easy and inspire me to find some diamonds in the rough all my own and bring new life back to them. How you built that mustang is how I want to do it too, I down won’t to be building a race machine I want a car the you built it up! Awesome work!

Nice! I did something similar with a little Amazon winch good for 400 lbs. Mounted it to a barn door track on rollers. Can lift stuff into my sheds loft and roll it out of the way before I climb ladder.

After the last lift, reverse the hooks, long extension cord, and drop the unit. Disconnect and take the cable hook down with you, (or drop it). Could use it so you don't have to carry the unit up and down.

The batteries supplied with such devices are normally of poor quality and have a tendency to leak and ruin the delicate contacts of remote controls - i.e. I have been caught a few times. To avoid such issues, I now install a good quality battery in my remotes and use the supplied poor quality battery for powering high use devices such as a torches - where the expected 'installation life' is short.

Climbing the ladder with wheels and parts and boxes and such, is such a bad idea. We've all done stuff like that, but it's sooooo Dangerous. My Best Friends Dad fell off a ladder, from about 4-5 feet... He hit his head on the ground, and died the following day from a brain bleed (he actually never regained consciousness) None of us like admitting that we're not 20 anymore, but we gotta Work Smarter, not Harder. 💪💪💪

Them cheek plates on the trusses are not very strong at all pulling in that direction. I would add some long timber screws up through the joints on those cross members, just to give it a little extra sumpthin sumthin.

Trusses are made for roof load, where you have that beam running across is not really made for that hanging load. Those plates that attach the cross beans are not made for that.

@@fitzeesfabrications In the meantime, suggest you supplement the 'gang nail plates' on the central (most highly laden) A-frame with with addtional firmly attached (srewed-in) wooden or steel plates. The aforesaid would prevent a catastrophic failure of the gain nail plate.

Only problem I see is you still have to go up and down the ladder for each lift at our age no good for the knees. Perhaps have someone at the bottom would make it easier. But excellent idea I hate ladders. 😁🇬🇸👍
