I have used the lower priced hand band saw from HFT with great success. At their price they are well worth picking one up.

HF bandsaw is really nice for the price. Building a stand makes it very versatile

If you're going to use a hacksaw or "sawzall", mix up some soapy water and spray as you go....cuts so much easier.

This vid cemented that your dad did indelibly imprint machinery fundamentals in you. Normal people don't wake up assuming bent stock cam be sectioned into smaller tangents. That's trigonometry and materials science, R Finster Buckman style... evolutionary economist.

Why You not Turn it between centers? Punch at the Faces and center drill with cordless screwdriver. Greetings Michael from Germany

I had been having trouble with my tailstock and didn’t see the need since they were so short, but I didn’t have much chuck jaw clamping down. Maybe it would have been wise. Thanks for watching. Great to see someone from Germany watching.

@@deezworkshop No i Thought the Whole Peace of Stock, not the "cut in Three pieces" If the Peaces are too small, it is very Difficult to clamp for Machining. Thank you

I understand now. I suppose I could have done that. I guess it didn’t cross my mind and figured I’d cut it into 3 pieces. I have plenty of that material. I agree a center hole and using my like center would have also been another way to tackle this but I am sure I would have had a smaller diameter in the finished product.
