I think the best part of this story is that surprise party fiddlesticks could become canon.

I think most of the new "Story" landmarks are just the dreams of said characters. The draven fan basking in glory and the Child that imagined the poro king going on adventures with the poros seems quite dream like scenarios.

The cards starting from 9:29 are actually mostly dreams. The point is that the Story cards from various regions are Dreams that presumably Lillia's looking into. Draven's Biggest Fan dreams of becoming big in the Arena, Azir dreams of his empire reborn, Morde dreams of his conquest, Ingvar (the Frejlord child that owns the Poro King plush) dreams of a parade of poros, and Angel (one of Jack's crew not shown in the video) dreams of winning tons of money in the ring and retiring to her own potato farm going by the flavor text.

If it's a dream then it's Vex's nightmare. Someone throwing a party for her...

The spooky arms and stuff in Lux's story... the crows and nightmares in Lillia's story... the SUPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY in Vex's story... FIDDLESTICKS???????? HELLO????? DOES NO ONE PICK UP ON THIS?

I think that what we have here is one of those dream in a dream scenarios, Uncle Milty's presence causes Vex to have a nightmare about that particular birthday party and the level up animation is just a scene transition within that dream. As what ever is corrupting these dreams takes a crack at Vex through this running face first into her unique outlook on life and having all of the twists; evil guests, ruined cake and the Grotesque Gift; it tries just make the dream less annoying to Vex.

If you listen to Vex and Grimm's voice lies you will find that Vex does actually seem to care somewhat about Grimm. or at least that he notices the bags under her eyes

Allay as a champion in League, imagine a Party Yordle... Passive skill: Allay gets party points after killing or assisting in executing an enemy, this stacks up up to 5 stacks. When 5 stacks is reached, Allay's Ult will get an instant cooldown. Bonus: Assisting an allied "Yordle" Champion will give allay 2 stacks instead of 1. Q: Throws a cupcake at an enemy champion and slows them, adjacent enemies will get slowed too. W: Allay can place up to 3 Balloons on the field, each with their small circular radius. When triggered by an enemy, they get airborned. Only 1 Enemy can get Airborned by each Balloon. E: Allay places a gift box in the field. When an ally picks up the gift and they get either healing or attack and movement speed boost, enemy picks it up and it slows them and stun if they're Already slowed. R: Allay Places a Huge Gift Box that explodes after 3 seconds, after the explosion it will summon a Bear stuff toy that will hit enemies rapidly for 6 Seconds, the more hits the enemy takes the higher the damage they get.

I think the second version you gave for Vex's story is correct and Uncle Milty's card just happened at some other point and isn't relevant to this story. Otherwise it would suggest that Allay and Grimm aren't real, wich would be werid.

I don't think the sprites are corrupted in Vex dreams, they are there supoosedly to help the dreamer escape the corruption. In the case of always positive Lux the corruption takes for as, well... corruption. But with Vex, her corruption takes the form of a party and having a great time, so the sprites become monster to crash the party that she hates.

It seems they are finding ways to make new themed expansions with the restriction of "not moving the lore forward" and as most creative works with a restriction, it has led to very unique results. I am guessing they might do the same sort of psychological themed expansion with fears and nightmares next through fiddlesticks. Since in lore he is supposed to take whatever shape and say whatever line it deems fit to embody the greatest fears of someone and feed on their horror. I would love that

I do think they delayed the mmo even further because of the story, in order to make a good mmo (aside from diffrent gameplay experience) they want to make a mmo that really have depths and stories, so they really update all story to make it one wonderful world, this efforts can be seen by this story updates, and Wild Rift kalista comic, the RnD team from mmo contribute to Kalista portrayals in wild rift. If u see for example the void sketches in the league of legends lore website, you can see the potential behind the efforts of riot in the world building, i think its good that they take it slowly.

I’m guessing that Vee is Vex’s real name and Allay calls her that because she’s known her for a long time. Remember, “Vex” isn’t her real name but an intimidating nickname she chose for herself.

Imagine it's Ashlesh or a demon of Ashlesh corrupting Vex's dream by trying to force her to feel joy and happiness with a party, only to eventually realize what actually makes her happy and give her that thing at the end.

It's important to remember about ALL Yordles is they are insane to some degree.(they are inspired by worlds/dimensions/planes of magic, especial fairy and small folk or spirits of more European lore) Mostly in dedication to the very essence to who their personality is. Poppy is TOO humble to see she's the hero. Zigg's fascination with explosives, or anything scientifically chaotic. Teemo with any kind of scouting be it a whimsical guid, explorer or the sabotage and defense in more wartime situations. Corki with his fight and invention... every yordle I've met has the blind spot level dedication to a thing that is all about their personality. Grimm I think isn't anti-social like Vex, but he likes poetry and the arts, and Vex is his latest fascination to do art about, and he knows Allay annoys her so his extreme dedication is what has changed anything about him. "turned emo" makes it seem like he's only playing one stereotype kind when he IS emo because it matters to his thing, not just Vex. AND VEX... might actually be vulnerable to his charms a bit. Yes she "looks delighted" as Necrit points out, but her thing IS doom and gloom and dark stuff. She just destroyed a party (dream one sure) so why stick around, why actually watch his performance and not just have Shadow throw him out too? No i think ( or hope because it's adorable) Vex actually likes his gloomy poetry and the crisis of unrequited love. and in the insane of her essence there is no paradox in being around his gloom and efforts and it's her personality to rebuff him because that's more gloomy and sad
