50 cent' s first unreleased album *is even better than Get Rich or Die Tryin.* Can you believe that. Its called 50 cent "Power of the Dollar" You can listen to it on youtube. He even did two songs with Nas Too hot ft nas Who You rep with ft Nas He is also the reason Jay Z went to do Big Pimpin with UGK. 50 cent's - As the World Turns ft UGK . 50 cent was the first New York artist to work with southern artists. He was even touring with lil wayne in the 90's. Get back to me when you have listened to Power of the Dollar.

@@darrenraphael Who you rep is not from that album, i listened to that album religiously when it came out, I'm a hustler is my favorite song with a Jadakiss sample ad a hook. He was rapping better and didn't have a southern accent, he wasn't mumbling because that ead before he got shot. But musically, GRODT is more complete, the beats are better.

Usually hate when “reactors” sing/rap with the song, but this was great. Such a classic album, even for a white boy from West Virginia. “Patiently Waiting” just hits different still to this day.

The impact of this album was crazy... I'll never forget, my dad was a 4th grade public school teacher in the inner city when this dropped. He had his students write what they wanted to be when they grew up. This 9 year old wrote that he wanted to be 50 Cent 'cause he wanted to kill all the wankstas. Hahahaha my pops was so shook, he had no idea who 50 was. "You don't want me to be your kid's role model"

I'm Brazilian, I'm 23 years old, the songs on this album were the first rap songs I heard. I remember that until today, it happened in 2008 when I was 11 years old, I didn't have access to the internet and I discovered these songs through a clandestine DVD that was sold on the street. It was my first contact with rap. I got access to the internet in 2010 and the first thing I did was to download this classic. This channel is one of the best about rap. Bring more TOP 10 favourite verses.

@random fair point. When I say impact I meant more culturally. I love Nas my fav artist but I think Illmatic has more impact on musicians and rappers. I think GRDT has more impact commercially and with fan bases. Nas didn’t have shoes, clothing, screensavers, video games, and things like that. I also think numbers plays a fact. Ppl were walking around with a bullet proof vest because of 50 lol. I do think you make a valid point worth noting for sure.
