True. Gators don't reason out, "Oh, that's a person. A human." Gators are swimming around looking for their next meal and "splash" goes the water. It doesn't matter what causes the splash. Gator goes and investigates.

Not the gator's fault? The man's missing 3 limbs. How did that happen? Do you think he ate his own limbs off because he was mentally challenged? It certainly was the gator's fault. Should the alligator be killed? NO. Because that IS the gator's home. Don't go to the gator's home for dinner because you will be on the menu. Simple as that. Put up signs STAY OUT OF ALLIGATOR INFESTED WATERS. The population keeps growing and soon the alligators and crocs will be extinct because the common man is too ignorant to leave nature alone.

Thats exactly what I was going to say I feel so sad that this happened I can't even imagine... but this is Florida... you dont go in a lake like that with lots of alligators its the same thing as if you decided to jump off a boat if you see a shark swimming past... I mean what do you expect is going to happen? This park is known for the amount of gators it has too. People should have never been paying him to retrieve the discs either... that is wrong. If this is a designated and popular disc golf course there needs to be set ups not so close to the lake. And if a disc goes into the lake the county needs to be responsible for keeping the lake clean and clear in a more skilled way with boats and tools that are safer to retrieve discs if need be to not pollute the lake
