Lol yep thats his username on azxc. The rear set up on his truck at the time of this video was a set of 4inch drop brackets for a 4inch sub frame drop. To help match the front ride hight.. Factory armada coils (same ones i run) and a 2inch rancho coil spacer along with a set of 5100's mounted in the stock location that are a little too soft for his set up. Rear travel is limited to the factory geometry of the arms and pivot locations.. the most I've been able to pull out of it without extensive rework is a hair over 10" of usable travel. For a rear set up id suggest radflows or an adjustable shock and armada springs

@@theclan4adventures Thanks for these infos. I'm currently running stock Armada shocks at the rear (with OME +30mm springs + Rancho 2" coil spacers, about ~3.5in total lift) and it matches pretty good. I was wondering if longer rear shocks were usable without binding pivots and ball joints. Do you know which 5100's are used in victor's setup ? And did you manage to grab some down travel on your rig while relocating shock mounts on the trailing arm ?

@@jeremydu13 I would guess the ome springs are better than the armada springs we use. We use armada springs because they are thicker and taller and cheap. The stock shock and spring in the rear is the weak point on r51 pathfinders. I dont have all the numbers available right now but I can offer you this idea.. jack the back of the pathfinder up and pull the tire off take a measurement of how far the suspension has dropped out with your current shock.. then pull the bottom mounting bolt out and see if you get more droop. Take an over all measurement of the shock your using and go from there.. I have run my rear suspension maxed out on the ball joints (both pathfinders ive built) as well as victors for years 100's of thousands of miles with 0 issues to the ball joints .. the trick is to loosen the bolts let the bushings reset at the higher ride hight and re tighten them. Otherwise the factory rubber bushings will tear and fall apart. My spring mounted rear lower arm has a poly bushing conversion at the chassis side because we learned this the hard way years ago. The fox shocks i was running are for a titan and were off of a truck I owned prior to the second pathfinder.. (therefore cheap) I would not suggest my exact set up because it required removal of the rear air conditioner unit. I would suggest extended travel rad flows made for the rear on a r51 pathfinder with a 2 inch lift to get what your looking for.

I'll see if vic will do one he's a great driver and a great mechanic but a very humble guy..doesnt care too much about attention.. i built alot of the parts he is using in the front suspension and know his entire build so if you have any questions feel free to ask me if for some reason I dont know i can easily find out but yes ill try to get him to let me do a walk around video for you guys

He drives this pathfinder everywhere with 0 issues.and I mean everywhere... tracks perfectly in snow or on any other surface for that matter. Thanks for watching

What guards?

The front mount is just a piece of aluminum it’s fairly soft about 1/4 thick.. bent and drilled by hand .. he used it for the ham radio set he has so it would flex and not break the antenna if caught on trees .. cb antenna mounted on the back is a standard Mount bolted to a piece of thin steel coming out from behind the tail light.
