Victors potential is unlimited. Shot selection shows hes still young along with his finishing ability it’s not sharp yet he missed a lot of open layups and shots. Plenty of turnovers but for 7”2 he’s nimble has a sweet shot if he can focus on his craft and stay healthy and develop he’ll be a beast.

He still needed to work on his defense. He’s young, still maturing but his hip mobility isn’t quite there yet. Once he can cut the defender off after a quick ball move without crossing his feet he’ll be just fine with his length. Till then his legs are too long, he’s gonna wiff on blocks till he’s that fraction of a second faster.

You’re delusional if you think Lebron would be the number 1 pick over this dude, even Lebron ex teammates Jefferson said Victor would be the 1st pick, the guy is 7´4, averaged 35ppg on 50%fg, 50% 3pts, with 7 rebounds and 4.5 blocks in his first 2 games on US soil and with NBA rules, the kid scored step back 3´s, turnaround fadeaway from midrange and 3pts line, dream shake/shimmy with impeccable footwork, dribble between his legs, spin move lay up, blocked like 5 jumper and 3 pts shots wich is absolutely ridiculous only guys like AD or Robert Williams can do that … Im a hardcore Lebron fan but as a 18 years old Victor is better, and his potential way higher. If you watch a Lebron highschool game with the lowlights you will see a lot of bad shot selection, poor shooting and average defense, you can’t expect a 18 yo kid to be perfect, Lebron shot 2 for 12 from downtown in the Drew league does that make him a bad player ? No because he fucking scored 42 points 🤷🏾‍♂️

This is a kind of basketball that really works, - is a teamwork play! He was prioritized by his teammates coz he got a defense and offense with nice footworks, nobody can stop him in any part of the court, he can dribble the ball and he still improving! Compare to the talented 7'3 Kai Sotto of the Philippines he doesn't have any play for him but on its own like the last time they played against OKC. Why? Because of the croscs in his team but his coach C J Burton I thought he has no intention to make a big win for Adelaide? Giving a play for the 7'3 player is a kind of excitement that he can give to the audiences while they watching the game coz he can shoot at the 3 point area and medium range, he can drive the hoop, he was also a ring protector, - ever the less he have a high basketball IQ wich is very important in a single player. I love to see them both in the NBA! You know why? This is because is a huge market of the League!

It's not even close. I wouldn't even say their names in the same sentence. Victor is a legit once in a lifetime player. Kai will be lucky to even play in the league at this point.

@@anthonyplanzo1082 agree. If...only "if" he (Kai) is willing to train as to move mountains, maybe he will get a shot playing in the biggest league. I am rooting for Victor to become ROTY in his rookie season. This guy is like Rudy and Giannis combined. 🙂

@@Anthonydu01630 Giannis isn’t a 7’3+ dude like Yao, Porzingis, Victor, etc. Plus the kid has packed his frame with some serious muscle to be able to withstand more punishment. That’s what these dudes should do as soon as they get into the league.

I'm sorry but this guy is mainly potential. A raw diamond that needs a lot of work to shine like a superstar. His can do it all but not consistently. He's forcing it too much in the paint (needs more strength), he's taking bad shots and his free throw shooting still needs work. As I said, a raw diamond who can become a top player, but he needs good coaching and stay healthy. With experience, his game IQ will also improve. If these things are not sorted, he's going to become a "what if"...

Go watch Lebron when he was 18, he was a weak shooter, average defender and he had bad footwork, you can’t expect a 18yo to be perfect, especially not a 7´3 guy who is still growing and learning to control his giant body

idk if he was just trying to show his talent in this game or if he actually plays like this. Seemed like he was trying too hard on most of those misses and poor shot selection. Thats easy to correct though

@@zethloveless7238 Nope, KG was 7', a sneaky 7', but 7'. Not "way shorter" (6'11 o 7' depending on where you see him listed). I mean, I see your point, but i still see KG as physically similar and as a model to build his body. Wamby is broader than KD for example, but not as wide as AD or Giannis, so I see him putting up some lean muscle. Big guys are more likely to have injuries, but who knows, these guys nowadays take good care of their bodies, and he seems super mature about his approach to the game. As a Jazz fan, i never wanted the Jazz to tank because it feels a season lost, but this year I just want them to play the janitor at center and lose as many games as possible.
