I completely agree with your comments about the dance break portion. I think the editors should have taken some inspiration from how Itzy have done their dance breaks in the past to make the editing look a little more chaotic to make the drop feel satisfying especially after such a cool moment with the winx-like animations of the girls

In this MV, the eye is the one who took them in the “hallucination quest”. Then it was naevis who helped them and break this hallucination and made them “synk dive” to where that eye is (in the bridge part). Hence, “My naevis we love u” 😇

If anyone wants to deep dive in Aespa lore they should also watch SMCU ep.1 there's a lot more storytelling there. I think some of it's events start before or alongside Black Mamba. SMCU ep.1: The aes and the real world living peacefully interconnected. Then Black Mamba breaks through The Flat (where the aes and Naevis reside) to infect them hence why ae-Karina has that dark aura. At the end of it Naevis enlists the aes to confront Black Mamba in Kwangya (a seperate outside location to The Flat). She opens p.o.s (a portal) to Kwangya for them to go in. Black Mamba: The real Aespa now knows of the entity that caused the disruption of their Synk (connection) with the aes. They going to work to find a way to connect with them back and stop the Black Mamba. Next Level: "Naevis calling!" I think at some point while in Kwangya the aes are lost and Naevis now asks the help of real Aespa to find and retrieve them. Savage: As they get closer to Black Mamba in Kwangya they encounter obstacles where they have to be more Savage. In the chorus it's like they're taunting it to get them first before they become stronger. I think at some point Black Mamba got to Naevis as she tries to protect Aespa and that caused her demise. Hence why they're thanking her and her sacrifices. So they're completely just by themselves now. Once they finally find Black Mamba they kill it and we're left with that. My theory: Black Mamba has already infected ae-Karina or it changed the aes while she held them hostage in Kwangya. So there's gonna be an evil vs good self showdown next time. Kinda like EXO and X-EXO.

So much planning put into making an MV. My favourite parts were the chorus with that really cool dance move at 4:27 & just the head movement plus awesome camera work at 8:02. Those were amazing!

Your theory makes sense! Maybe the reason why the way to defeat the black mamba was to shoot that giant eye, is because the giant eye represents their ae, since eye and ae sound the same. So it’s also symbolic because they’re destroying the eye or ae, meaning that they’re destroying their ae’s. And while it seemed like the solution was so simple, that to destroy the black mamba was to just shoot the giant eye that has been behind their backs this whole time (they’ve been dancing in front of it which I think is also symbolic of how the ae of themselves have always been beside them and even kind of watching over them, which gives the pressure of having that ae perfect self), it is incredibly symbolic and therefore a crucial point of attack.

I love them, they get my attention since predebut, i mean- aespa don't have the concept that we can see in many kpop girlgroup (cute or childish concept) they are rude and powerful. Stan aespa😎👌🏻

Their music style is like NCT, but although I like NCT, it really depends on the song or unit, so with NCT music it happened to me many times that their songs were not for me and I felt like it was “too experimental/forced to be experimental”. With Savage it works without any problem for me, but only if I am watching the music video as well. When I listen only to that song on its own, I feel like I am missing something. Like there already should have been some AR in my glasses, when I walk around and listen to that song 😅😅

I Think in this MV their already arrived at kwangya with help by Nævis through P.O.S and defeated black mamba, but they realize that it just hallucination, and the member got trapped in kwangya.

Aespa's concept is something that I still can't explain, even after almost a year and a half xD I'm probably never going to be able to understand it, because of how complex and confusing it can be for some people, but it's a dope concept :D The fact that you can understand Aespa's concept and storyline and the SM Culture Universe is beyond amazing, and you deserve to be part of the fan club~~

Didn't understand the full story behind? Here we go: first of all, this big circle on the background is the portal which the girls arrived at KWANGYA. It was made it by Naevis who had to give her existence to build it (this part of story was showed 3:06). Then we have the Black Mamba attacking every girl: Karina was locked in a glass cage (one more thing: black mamba personalize Karina's ae because she was the person who made a contact with the force... we see this in black mamba MV before of second chorus & in the pool - ep1 'black mamba'); Giselle was mocked in a deep fake version of her to mess with logic; Winter was paralyzed by the smoke; and NingNing was trapped in hateful emoji's algorithm. All girls scapes and finds the central of black mamba: Giselle unlocked the traps, Ningning unlocked the avatars with butterfly password & Winterina join powers to break mamba. The final stage is the EYE of hacking which have the force of the villain. At the end the EYE dies BUT the plot twist is next: some of creepy wave covers the girls. What could be? Another portal to return home or Black Mamba has a plan B?

Excellent video as always! I especially loved the "lore" analysis. Your theory is super interesting, and I think it makes a lot of sense with that bridge. The lyrics seem to be worshipping the naevis as some sort of Christ-like figure, (even seeing them after the "resurrection") even though the naevis may not really be as well-intentioned as they think. Perhaps something about social media lying to us about how healthy or necessary it is for our lives. As a sidenote, I love that kpop groups have lore now, like they're an Elder Scrolls game or something. It's so extra and ridiculous, yet somehow very charming. I like that it encourages groups to go for a specific and cohesive concept like aespa does, instead of just doing random trends.
