@@x5ilco I don't think researchers get paid a hefty salary, they are paid handsomely but not enough given that Sheldon once said he rents out to Leonard only because he couldn't afford the rent. Also, they eat out everyday.

Penny was always dressed provocatively in the first few seasons. They toned it down later. It was to attract audience. Kaley herself told in an interview.
