Really nice video! I like the views very much. I have one question in concern of the callouts on Aircraft from Eurowings. I didnt heard a -500 callout on the videos. Does your airline have them or not? Thanks in advance :)

Thanks for the feedback! In accordance to the Airbus systems description, the operators (airlines) have the option to enable or disable certain auto callouts. This is done by maintenance in accordance to company requirements. Some airlines prefer 400, some 500 or other airlines may want both callouts.

Nice landing, Sir! How is it determined who becomes the Pilot flying? Is it always the captain? Thank you.

Thanks for the good feedback and the question! We share the legs. If we do a 4 leg day, every pilot flies 2 legs, and on a 2 leg day, each pilot flies one leg. When we meet for duty, we decide who flies which leg. Some airports, like Funchal or Samos, are restricted to Captains landings and/ or takeoffs by the authorities.

@ApproachandDepartureVideos 2 жыл бұрын

@ApproachandDepartureVideos
@ApproachandDepartureVideos Жыл бұрын

@ApproachandDepartureVideos
@ApproachandDepartureVideos Жыл бұрын

a bit of a hard landing 😅
@ApproachandDepartureVideos
@ApproachandDepartureVideos 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. This landing was miles away from a "hard landing". You could feel it, but it was a nice and safe landing. Maybe the video gives a wrong impression. A lot of people believe that the best landing is a landing that you do not feel at all. This is not true. The main goals are to be on speed and to land in the touchdown zone. Sure, a very soft landing on speed without using too much runway is also a good landing. But a very soft landing after a long flare with a touchdown behind the touchdown zone has to be considered as a bad landing. The real hard landings are landings out of the airplanes limits which may damage the airplane. In accordance to my knowledge this happens not very often in normal airline operation.
