Flying alone for the first time to a completely different country without telling anyone to travel solo. Breaking all the stereotypes i had prior to being Vietnam before. No I didn't get any travel anxiety despite being alone in a foreign land. Yes, I get some culture shock during day 1 BUT I enjoyed Vietnam, especially Hanoi ALOT. I only bought tickets 2 weeks before, with no hotel or plans cause i was super stressed out in University. It turnt out to be one of my best decisions in life. (please don't do this in countries such as Australia, you might get deported)

this is such an interesting video, in which I kind of found myself relating to in a few ways. I basically have traveled alone all my life, with a few exceptions, so I understand the feelings involved, especially the first time. I love Vietnam, and when you said in your video: " I don't want to live" it was nice to hear because it is what I felt when I first set foot in Vietnam, for the reasons you mentioned. After some time I decided to make Vietnam my new home, and so here I am. Thank you for sharing this page of your life.

I felt your trip to Vietnam was really sad. I think that drink is not "mi nao" it is Trà Bí Đao . it is squash tea. vietnamese people are very friendly. you should try to talk to them or add some Vietnamese friends to have more joy

I got a sim card with unlimited data for 2 weeks at the airport once I reached. It was about $15 or less? For cash, USD 500 was enough for me for 2 weeks. Provided that, most of my accommodation + flights were paid by card/online and I ate street food most of the time

Oh, I’m sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. I chose VN solely because it didn’t require a PCR test or any quarantine/restrictions to enter 😅 and it’s a relatively cheap option too. I got scammed only once though. Never seen human turd throughout my 2 weeks.

You could find anywhere an adaptator in a mall (Vincom Lotte Takashimaya Parkson), use speaking translator with a local.sim. very cheap only 4 or 5 Us$. Japan ans Korean people expatriation, are with the Taiwanese, very large community with their areas.with original and delicious meals and food from Japan or Korea, or etc...
