@Hazding
@Hazding 3 жыл бұрын
@@robertodhiambo6328 Well, I pretty much only knew how the pieces moved and tried to just do whatever seemed logical. If the computer didn't tell me where to put my rook and king after castling, I wouldn't know. Now I play the stafford gambit beyond what people have memorized of "the refutation" and have some nice and tricky lines that I pull out against almost any opening I meet when I have white. The most important thing I've learned is that the way to beat weak players is to play something kind of dubious but aggressive, since most don't really know how to deal with it, and if they know how to deal with it, I'll just try to win a piece or a couple of pawns and trade of everything else to win. That's major progress in 3 months. There is also a special good feeling when the opponent resigns on move 3 or 4 because he tried to set up a opening he was prepared for and you just throw a wrench in their plans by playing a dubious move that changes his structure and only half the moves he know to do will work anymore. As an example: When I meet the scandinavian, I just transpose into Bird Opening: Williams Gambit on move 2. It's very dubious and pretty much just losing if you play against someone who knows what to do, but 1500-rated players who play the scandinavian know absolutely nothing about how to play this gambit.
