My husband and I were on the Heart of Normandy Viking cruise and this is not anything like we experienced. Of course, we toured in the summer of 2014. At the airport, we went to the Viking kiosk. A shuttle van too us to the Seine to board the boat. Staff greeted us as we entered the ship. I am wondering if you were treated differently due to your positions? Or cruise friends did not experience this on their recent Viking trips.

so I now wonder, didn't you get an itinerary explaining water days and land days before your cruise? I would think that you should have known, beforehand, that the ship wouldn't leave Paris, or wherever you started out, right away

Perhaps I missed the comparison of pricing. How would this compare (price and experience wise) to an ABD? to an "on land" travel package (hotels and bus)? At times I think...perhaps. And and other times...no. But it IS intriguing.

I was on this very cruise earlier in 2015. The lower level cabins DO NOT have port holes! It's a rather large water level window that provides plenty of light and a nice deep shelf in front. It's pretty obvious from the exterior that there are no port holes.

Waste of time complaining. There are much better videos if you want to check out Viking Cruises. I have been on three and they are great - nothing like what these clowns are talking about.
