I'm a big fan of the dining plan for me and my husband. For us, half the fun of going to Walt Disney World is the dining experiences we can have. And I loved the fact that we didn't have to worry about budgeting out how much money we would need for our vacation food, as it was already done.

Question #1 Tracy was right on the for the Resort. Pop Century is value. No on Lyft or Uber. Pop has it's own bus line and is very efficient.

This was the best Dreams Unlimited show I have ever seen. The travel agents are great.

If adding a 1 night room only it is seamless even if you are switching rooms/resorts. I added 1 night at ASM because I could fly in the day earlier for less-but the flight wouldn't arrive until 9pm which means no need for dinning and no need for a nicer room when my plan was to get in, go to sleep and wake by 6 for a PPO breakfast at Cinderellas. We use ME to get to our hotel, went to bed and got up without unpacking, sent our bags down and they moved everything over for us to our length of stay resort while we got on the bus to MK. With online check-in we just waited for our room number at our resort then bussed back in the late afternoon for a rest and everything was there waiting for us. SEAMLESS.

The three times we have been there and tried online check in, our room was not ready. I didn’t mind though, because I enjoy the lobby experience. On our last trip, we had a good conversation with a Cast member while we waited that resulted in us getting extra Fast Passes. That better than checking in early!

I honestly love the idea of the gondolas. My only concern is that lines will be so long that busses will be faster.

I was on a solo trip with a rented ECV. I called the Minnie Van Special Services Number my Bell Services Desk gave me when I was concerned about getting to a Dining Reservation or the First FastPass of my day. The drivers were fabulous. One night I called for a simple Lyft driver for an evening Dinner reservation both to and fro from my Resort to another. The Bus drivers were great with the ECV too. A point for parents: Minnie Vans have two child seats!

I am with Tracey. I had a major SNAFU with online check-in one time, and I will probably never do that again since it blocked us from entering the MK. We ended up standing in line at guest services for over an hour. I have very specific room requests, and we got a room I was not happy with so I had to go to front desk check-in anyway. I find interacting with the resort castmembers a worthwhile experience, and we always want to check the pin boards. Front desk check-in for the win!

These gondolas operate safely and effectively in much more challenging environments than Disney world. No worries. I've travelled on a similar system in Alton Towers in the UK where they travel over a deep tree line valley. Its fine. The Disney one will hardly be off the ground.

Great show, guys! I always appreciate the expertise everyone brings to the discussion -- especially Tracey, who seems to know everything. I also enjoyed hearing a more realistic discussion of the Dining Plan; it's never been about "value" for us (when you're spending $5K for a week's vacation, how is penny-pinching even a thing?) but for the convenience, as you all say. To be able to just take care of something in advance and then, in the moment, not have to worry about ANY of it...THAT'S vacation mode.

Tracy; I’m with you on just enjoying being in a park! I go to Disneyland with that mindset, I love just being there or trying something we haven’t done before 😊 WDW is a similar thing, but I don’t get to go there as often because I’m on the west coast, but I just like to be in a park!

The not having to worry about meals and trying snacks we would not usually buy is the best. And we do a ton of character meals so we save time in the parks not waiting to meet them. Dinning plan is a must for us.

For hard to get dining reservations, Touringplans.com has a dining reservation checking app that works great. Enter what you want and they send you an email when it opens up. I got BOG for Valentine’s day using it.

Just did trip over Spring Break. Did split stay; one night at Art of Animation and 5 nights at Pop Century. For the one night I used a reward room credit earned thru Hotels.com. Paid $50 something for night. No issues with online check-in using Disney App. Got text message when rooms ready. Benefit of online check-in was we could go immediately to theme park morning of 2nd day. Also, they transferred our luggage from Art of Animation to Pop Century putting all our luggage in our room. Awesome! Only inconvenience was having to move car to Pop Century lot.

it is not 10 days for fast pass :) and also I managed to add someone to my fast pass group even though the start of their trip wasn't at 60 days yet. We booked all 2 weeks of our trip on the 60 day mark.

For the most part, I feel the Disney buses are really good. It takes time whether on a bus or driving yourself. If you count in the time it takes to park a car and all that, I really like the buses the best. My only issue was buses at night time. They didn't seem to know how long they were running; there was a special event at the MK after hours and the bus person had NO idea how long she was running. What if someone was at that special event? I would hope they could catch a bus back after it.

I wish there was a DDP with zero snack credits. We liked the sit down meal and quick server a day but the snack credits just didnt get used because we were not hungry. We ended up doing a huge nono and used them on water the last 2 days cuz we had so many..

From 60 days out you can book your 1st fast pass day. You then have to do the same the next day for your 2nd day and so on. So you cannot do it in 1 hit?! Just going through this now.....

I think y'all are way off base on DDP. Not worth the money. I come to Disney often and never spend the amount of money on my whole room / MB charges as the DDP costs. This includes any merch, food & beverages. I've heard people do it so vacation is like all inclusive feel and pre paid. As you all said convienence. An alternative is to buy Disney Gift Card ahead of time instead. You can still use MBs and go to front desk before checkout and give them the Disney Gift Card.

I find it not right for the server to ask for their tip. I have go to Disney every year, (for the last 25 years) and only a few times this has happened. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, especially since I am there to review the food.

On the bus question. I have had issues with bus transportation. Staying on property we had early reservations for breakfast were at our closest stop an hour early. And waited an hour and a half for a bus that had room for us to get on. It made us late for our breakfast reservations and then late for our lunch which we weren’t hungry for after just having breakfast.
