Through Erik's rabbit hole Viking goes ❤️ So happy you reacted to Erik 😍 Take a breath, this will be a long post 😂 Erik won Swedish Idol in 2009 where he auditioned with Skid Row's 18 & Life (it'll be relevant later 🤭) and won with Higher (which rock version you can find on his channel). In 2010 he joined Swedish rock band H.e.a.t where he replaced original singer Kenny (who later replaced him, hihi) and performed on Adress the Nation (2012), Tearing Down The Walls (2014), Into the Great Unknown (2017) and H.e.a.t II (2020). Worth mentioning is that in 2018 he played Simon Zealotes in Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2020 he left the band to focus on other stuff. He joined his buddy & former bandmate Jona Tee, keyboardist in H.e.a.t, in New Horizon. But in 2021, he was diagnosed with leukemia which certainly was life-changing experience for him. During the treatments he started his KZfaq channel because he promised to himself if he gets out of the hospital alive he'll sing for the rest of his life. And sing he did! New Horizon released a debut album Gate of Gods (2022) and the same year, only couple of months after his treatment, he joined Skid Row as their new singer. He released an album with them The Gang's All Here and played a lot of shows with them. All the while he kept releasing covers with many awesome badass musicians. In 2023, he released Eriksplanations Vol. 1 vinyl with some of his covers released until then. Finally, we come onto this year - his busy schedule made him unable to record new New Horizon so Jona teamed up with Nils Molin (yep, of Dynazty & Amaranthe) to bring it to life (it comes out in June) and Erik left the band. He also left Skid Row in March because he wasn't able to balance his full recovery and being in Skid Row. There's his sentence that stuck with me - "Always remember that no job, no money, no fame is worth your health and well-being. Health first. Always." He has autobiography on the way in September (only in Swedish, for now) called Power. Beside music, he enjoys martial arts & books. I whole heartedly recommend checking out H.e.a.t, New Horizon & Erik's album with Skid Row ❤️ Speaking of his covers, his first was Headless Cross. Mindblowing if you keep in mind he was still going through treatments. So much to choose from. If you wanna see him in badass mode, check Painkiller, Run To The Hills, The Trooper, Livin' On A Prayer, Carolus Rex (with the mighty Tommy J), Girls Got The Rhythm (AC/DC), Eagle Fly Free, Kickstart My Heart... Since you love Queen, check his Love Of My Life & Tenement Funster covers (the latter was gift for his manager birthday). Acoustic - To Be With You, Listen To Your Heart, Child In Time, I Put The Spell On You... Ballads - Seperate Ways, Faithfully, Without You, Alone, Always. Take On Me, Chandelier, Love Gun. Erik did such a wonderful job singing this song his way. Dolly has been special to me for a long time because of her song writing, singing and all the times she has been just such a great person. This song she wrote and was the first to record. And then came Whitney recording this for the Bodyguard movie. I discovered Erik as a result of discovering Dan Vasc. I only wish all the best to Erik with his health. His voice is beyond amazing. And I love the sax . ❤ from the 🇨🇦 Grammy. And yes Erik and Dan have recorded together❤❤❤
