not in real Life, in real life it was all of his sons that were his final strategy, Björn, Ivar, Ubbe, Hvitserk and Sigurd, and Sigurd didn't die from Ivar, because he later married king Aella's daughter a while after he killed king Aella with his brothes. Plus Ivar never was impotent since he later got 2 sons, people think he had weak or damage bones in his legs or that he was very flexible therefor boneless. It's a great series but the are not factually true all the time.

Ragnars strategy was to die in England so that all of his sons would destroy them and take thier land (which they did)

my father once told me one of the reasons God allows disability is because sometimes a man's fighting spirit is too great for his body and i replied if i wasn't a born so crippled i'd rule the Fing world and he echoed i have no doubt and that's what scares me because i know behind that sweet smile is a beast laying in wait

Like seriously, everyone has darkness inside, I sure have a lot but that doesn't mean anything. It seems foolish to me to believe that your so great on the inside that the only reason your not a great leader is because of a disability.

Xareal that's not what he said. He said it was fighting spirit at birth. Besides living with a disability doesn't automatically mean that person will end up having a inner strength far beyond anyone else. I'm not trying to be a dick disabled people go through a lot and it can make them stronger and I'm sure many are but hardship doesn't always make people stronger, it can just as often have the opposite affect. Here's a quote from one of my favourite tv shows that when I heard it, it fit with so well with how I see things. "There's an old saying, that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I don't believe that, I think the things that try to kill you make you angry and sad. Strength comes from the good things. Family, friends, the satisfaction of hard work. Those are the things that will make you whole, those are the things to hold on to when you're broken." I couldn't agree more because that's been my experience, the hardships in my life some of them made me stronger but most just made me angry and sad. My strength came from my love for my mother and two little brothers, I wanted to die but my strength is that I love my family so much that I would suffer a miserable life solely so they wouldn't have to feel grief from my death. That is my strength and I've built upon it, I'm still miserable, lack purpose, filled with hatred. But I'm doing better because I have that strength.

Heathen Wolf false it was ivar that made the plan of the battle they won against athelwolf. It was his idea and nobody else, it saved many of their men. So I can’t agree with you. Yep. Last season was terrible for Ivar. Wish the Great Heathen Army part was longer than a couple of episodes since it is such a big part in Viking history and we could see more of Ivar's military tactics but I guess they don't have the budget for it. Hoping next season we will see ruthless Ivar again.

@@sneezystudios5856 I don't get it. He was obviously the show saver after Ragnar and they just blew it with his character. So stupid. Ivar in Season 5A was my favorite character of all time. The writers got lazy after that season. I really hope they can bounce back his character.

@@HardTruthsReviews I think they wanted other characters to get into the spotlight instead of only Ivar. Characters like Ubbe, Hvitserk and Harald etc are also interesting characters and season 4B & season 5A was mainly about Ivar and the other characters were kinda side-characters. I'm a bit worried that there is only one season left and I feel that 20 episodes won't be enough to wrap up this entire story. I have a feeling it is going to be the same as Game of Thrones season 7 & 8 were everything is a bit rushed and the quality of the writing becomes worse than ever. Season 5B was the worst season of Vikings for me because it was just so damn boring and there were so many storylines that went nowhere and could have just been left out of it. The only good episodes in season 5B were 15, 18, 19 and 20. The rest was just awful to be honest. Season 6A will be focused on the east and I don't think we will see much of Alfred which worries me because the Ivar vs. Alfred tension has been building up since season 4B and I am almost 99% sure that it will over in one or two battles in season 6B which is quite dissapointing. Bjorn's storyline in the Mediterranean Sea is also incomplete in my opinion. Were is the attack on Pisa? I don't think we will see Bjorn going back to the Mediterranean back and the actor hasn't been seen filming season 6B so there is a chance he will die in season 6A. I still don't understand the Hvitserk storyline. What was the point of all that Buddha stuff? Hvitserk is siding with Ivar again in season 6A which just blows my mind because his whole storyline has been going nowhere at all. There are so many other characters with incomplete storylines and I really feel like one final season can't fill everything in.

@@sneezystudios5856 How do you know he's siding with Ivar again? I read an interview from Hurst the write saying that in season 6 it will be hard to hate Ivar. He becomes reborn and is extremely compassionate. I'll send you the link. I agree with 5b too man. The last episode was awesome though. Ivar best the whole cast of Vikings till he was betrayed. Haha The whole cast!!!!

@@gustaflundgren_ yep, it is not clear why he was called ivar the boneless It might be, from speculation, either that he had the same illness as in the TV show vikings and/or that he could not concede children So there is a slight chance the real ivar could've walked and was just impotent But it's more likely he couldn't walk and had an illness which caused his early death

I'm pretty sure that Ivar does not kill Lagertha. It's going to be Björn, Ubbe or Magnus that kills Lagertha.

@David Carty It would be a mercy killing. Björn sees her going absolutely mad and puts her out of her misery.
