Different cultures has different responses. In my culture this is very important both as a man or woman. To respect your wife's or husbands family. Or your elders well being and dignity by example. Yes there are bad apple's to. But if you hurt someone's daughter or sister by example, wait to get a harsh response, this is pretty much the case. No one will let you get on with it. Do you remember Sunny on the first episode from The Godfather movie? Well i am not Italian:)) but that response was pretty normal for me, when i was a child for the first time i saw. A man should know with what kind of people he is dealing with. That's very important to keep abusers and molesters in check. maybe not completely, but even for a meaningful percent. I remember when i have first met my sisters now husband. I invited him to a hunting trip. :)))))) Of course no one will hurt him. I am glad he was and still is indeed a empathetic person and didn't take it personal. Because it isn't. It is about to show anyone who will be in near future a part of your family that, his wife is not alone and precious for her loving family. We will respect you, as long as you respect the dignity, well being and honor of your wife and wife's family. That is the socially unwritten code of conduct . The daughter of one of my friends was abused and harassed by her foreign husband. I've learned it from him because of our regular morning breakfast we are having frequently. As senior man we do not feel ashamed to talk about such things because shit can happen every time right? Without waiting for a single moment. he booked his ticket with a couple of his men. Took his girl back. Sended her back to her homeland with the nearest flight possible. Faced her husband in accordance with his doings and got back.

I completely agree. The first time was more sort of spiritual and calm because everyone was forgiving him while he moved on to valhalla. But this scene he was screaming so much and we saw the actual details of the blood eagle and made it even more savage and dark. Ragnar wasn't so obviously angry I feel while his sons are intent on chaos and damage.

Ubbe, Hvitserk, and Sigurd look happy they’re getting their vengeance while Ivar look that as well but also somehow fascinated at Aelle’s reaction. Man this Bloodeagle ceremony was too much. Just how it was executed the energy the darkness just the vengeance in their faces. King Aelle killed their father and a hero to the Vikings. This is the punishment he deserved. I bet Ragnar was laughing from Asgard at that point, watching the old boar suffer and hearing the little pigs grunt.
@SgtMjAlex6 жыл бұрын
Why would a man deserve punishment from defending his people and Kingdom from raiders, pillagers, and looters like the vikings? I mean, Ragnar attacked them first, him killing Ragnar when he could was just good sense and payback from everything that happened from Lindisfarne onwards.
@sinainigoche29056 жыл бұрын
SgtMjAlex but this show isn't about King Aelle it's about Vikings, it's about Ragnar's life,family, and legacy 💁
@dmingophd6 жыл бұрын
Because AElle made it personal when it wasnt, Ragnar was just looting and fighting. He never tried to go at AElle personally, yes his possessions, but not him personally. Ragnar was a beated old man when AElle got him and there was no need to murder him. No justice was served. No honor.
@dennis1231386 жыл бұрын
dmingophd And there was justice and honor in vikings raping, looting, killing etc? Not to mention when they first landed, they just pillaged and murdered a bunch of unarmed monks. Then the second time they landed, a party came to the Vikings and tried to parley with them before being slaughtered. The English captain even gave Rollo a chain locket as goodwill. I mean I get it, the show is about the Vikings and I love the characters, but if you look at the whole thing in a neutral perspective they were the instigators and bad guys, and terrorized and killed a shitload of innocent people.
