Appreciate all of your reviews! One thing that is important to me as I do photography events and many times in low light is the AF in low light. Don't know if you still have the lens or maybe in future reviews that can be a test point. Thanks again!

Dear friendm great review. One thing I noticed is that in AFS mode the af motor is really loud and buzzing and even slightly vibrating. Is there somtheing wrong with my copy?

For my old A7 good enough. I enjoy 24mm, even more so 20mm. I don't expect G-Master IQ, and it isn't the case of course. But for 149 EUR, it's a really good deal.

2:30 I am not sure a step-up ring is a very good idea with a wide angle lens like this. In another review, I've heard that the lens displays some vignetting using even a low profile filter.

Step-up rings actually make the filters even more oversized, so there is not reason not to use them. I don't have any 52mm filters, so I am not able to test that.

This should be avlb for Nikon as there's no Nikon lens this is cannibalizing

Z-mount is not an open standard, so blame Nikon.

I do. Their policy concerning Tamron is to allow for lenses that do not compete with their own glass. So the 70-300 is allowed while the 70-180 is not and therefore rebadged. I would argue that the 20 2.8 and 16 1.8 do not compete with Nikons only wide prime, the 20 1.8
