Tella won't want another year in the EFL if Southampton go down. Maatsen has one year left on his contract and unless something changes at best 3rd choice left back at Chelsea. So I think we get them if we want them.

Did you know that Pep hates total football and Burnley invented it? A guy born and bred in the Burnley area, played for and coached them in the 1920/30s. His name Jimmy Hogan and he went to Europe coaching, Austria, Hungary and Holland amongst others. Hungary in the mid 50s were practicing it and acknowledged Hogan's part in it. The year I was born the tonked England 6 - 3 at Wembley and emphasised the superiority the next year winning 7 - 1 in Budapest. Burnley played so called scientific football becoming champions of England which was in fact total football, in 1960. Two years later they were three wins away from the double, becoming runners up in both the league and FA cup. As Holland or whatever they are calling themselves now, found out in the 70s, total football doesn't work even though it may look pretty. Its too strenuous, players must almost be utility players swapping positions frequently and in defence you need stability. What Burnley play now, one touch and hard press is far more effective, especially the former. Get a few more English lads in the team and play strong teams in the cups then Vinnie will do for me.
