Few years back, there was a pirated CD seller near my house. He had such games and all sort of latest pirated movies. He sold them 70 cents a CD (50Rs for me) Some of them were pretty good! Like I got GTA "Namaste America" it was such a highly modded version of GTA SA it was too fun honestly. I am sorry to say that I have never played GTA SA but I have played that game for years! It was too fun man, too many mods, it was like the game was entirely different! The seller would prevent arrest with bribes, but few months ago there was some raid and he got arrested, he payed some big fine and was let lose but he doesn't sell pirated CDs anymore... Last when I went to him, he was selling jailbroken consoles in Palika bazaar (very large market of stolen goods and piracy) Fun times honestly, never pirated a game since he left.

I'm from Indonesia, those are just modded GTA SA burnt into a disc in order to play it on the PS2. They often crash and ultimately destroy your console if you play it too much. I learnt this the hard way. Edit: I do think you need a chipped ps2 because mine was genuine until the overheating problem kicked in. So, you're going to need a chipped PS2 if you want a more smooth experience. The overheating problem was so destructive that the console "Optical Drive" was totally f*cked and we resorted to using flashdrive to run games. 15+ years later, I was cleaning my room and discovered the dreaded ps2. When I boot it up, somehow the screen was all blurry and all the colors are faded. With that, all my hopes to run GTA:SA Naruto again are gone. With strong heart I stored the console back inside the ol' shoebox. Locked away, never to be opened no more.

I remember my tutor told me about this copy machine that connected to your Super Nintendo and allowed you to copy games from a cartridge to a floppy disk. You would then use the machine to play the game, essentially pirating the game. You could rent a game, copy it to the disk, and use the same machine to play it, making buying the game outright pretty much obsolete. These were not cheap. I think he said it was about 600 cheapest price. The same guy told me that Nintendo eventually got around the copy machine by increasing the amount of RAM in the cartridges, but those were only a select few games at the end of the SNES life cycle.

When I was a kid, I actually played the pirated one, and it was actually pretty good, I think it was called Gta San Andreas Gta IV , couldn't remember but it has "IV" on it, and inside the game, it was pretty good because it has a lot option once you pressed R1+L1 at the same time, there will be an option like a mod or something and you can customize your game, like cars now will have gas meter, if it's runs out your car will not be able run and you actually have to go to a gas station to fill the gas, and there's a lot of interesting stuff that not as disgusting as any other GTA SA pitared games...
