I'm still waiting for the lost charity incentive (never happened he lost/or won? I forget, the mario party game) where Vinny mentioned he had a room filled with gross foods. I'm now imagining Vinny's place is sitting on some sort of warp, and each door is a new weird reality that the universe spits out.

Oh God, I love random old 'garbage' trading cards from the 70's - 90's, and seeing Vinny open some makes it even better. Love these 'IRL' streams that Vinny has been doing a whole lot, as it's a lot of fun to see him just relax with random goodness. Funny story, I actually bought a BUNCH of trading cards at a comic swap meet a couple years ago (some Marvel/Punisher, G.I.Joe., and other cards) and I got one card set that was for Moonraker (the '79 Bond film). Well, the pack actually HAD stiff 40 year old gum in it. Against both my friend and family's wishes, I tried the gum. It was horrid. But what do you expect from the guy who has drank 60+ year old Coca-Cola? Anyway, this stream just brought back that memory, thanks Vinny!

I own a bunch of wax packs with gum still in them from the late 70's to early 90's I would buy at our local comic convention every year (before the world ended) for 2 bucks a pack. I got Superman (1978) cards, Raiders of the Lost Ark cars, Return of the Jedi cards, back to the future 2 cards, and Simpsons cards (with blue shirt early 90's merch Bart).

Haha I once bought a back of baseball cards from the 80s at a flea market (this was like, 6 years ago). It had a sheet of gum in it as well. I said "dare me to try this gum?" to my friend and my brother, both said no, so I tried it anyway. It disintegrated in my mouth like powder. Spat it into the garbage in front of the guy who sold it to me. 10/10 experience

Hey Vin. The LOTR thing you bought is from the LOTR living card game. It's like a little campaign you play against. You basically bought an expansion that adds a bunch of boat stuff. I assume the starter decks have the characters you want to play as.

I have a box of ~50 unopened assorted card packs from the 80s and 90s I got at a flea market. Been meaning to get around to contacting Ashens and seeing if he wanted them for years but if Vin's interested I'll throw them his way. It has, like, New Kids on the Block cards, Young Indiana Jones, Dune, Judge Dredd, all kinds of crap.

RE: PERMISSION card I used to have a boss who had this formidable-looking black SUV, and he put a card like that on his windshield that said "OFFICIAL", and I kid you not he flashed that thing at all manner of security with an "OFFICIAL" attitude like he belonged there and no one would ever question him. Literally just a good act and a laser printer got him everywhere. It was brilliant.

They're old stock, and it's hilarious that people kept them in the pack for 25 or 30 years thinking unopen sets would be worth anything but the card stores are selling them for 50 cents or a buck.

Ohhh gosh, I have a batch of fake Yu-Gi-Oh cards that someone gave me one time, and the “English” is HILARIOUSLY bad lol! A sample: “The name has ‘is small’ monsters when joins the hand card from the oneself graveyard, may specially summon that monsters.” You can’t even use them because the instructions like this are so indecipherable, lol

When it comes to trading cards that don’t have an actual playable game I don’t see the appeal, unless they’re something completely outlandish or just lucky enough to become ironically funny in the future. There’s not much value to just screen caps of a show on a piece of cardboard with a block of text on the back
