Remember when you actually could buy game cheat books at stores, because you didn't know you could look them up online / didn't have the Internet yet? Funny days indeed. Surely remember especially the cheaper kind that was printed on toilet paper and with the font size equivalent of an ant, as you showed. Often they'd also have cheats they just copy pasted off GameFAQs and the sort that they didn't double check and as a result didn't even work, but at least they could say they got like 50.000 cheats in one book. 😄 Speaking of these unique art assets in some of the magazines, these magazine publishers back in the day actually would have creative departments just for that where they'd have photographers and artists that'd only do that. Recreate game models in whatever shape or form, be it fully CG, handdrawn or made out of clay, because the game publishers either didn't provide them with high enough resolution assets or none at all. Usually if they produced multiple game magazines to cut costs and the sort obviously.

@@MrWolfSnack Flea markets do not reflect the online value. You might make some money flipping them. The value of a magazine depends on the condition and age - most aren't worth much, but that Zelda EGM probably is.
@OtakuUnitedStudio
@OtakuUnitedStudio 3 жыл бұрын
@@MrWolfSnack Apparently my last reply got deleted because of a link I included. Let me repeat what I found. Multiple copies of issue #1 of Nintendo Power have sold for _$3000 or more._ You can find them on eBay if you search for it, them filter for Sold and sort high to low. And if you're going to say "that's different", they're still magazines, which was the entirety of your argument. There is money if you have the right ones. ANYTHING that's collectible - toys, posters, magazines, kid's meal bags (no joke!) - can be worth something if you find the right person to buy it. So maybe reconsider seeing what your stuff is worth. You might be surprised, though it's not terribly likely. Flea market items are routinely sold for far less than they're actually worth - the people there either aren't savvy or don't want to go through the hassle. They want a quick buck or to get rid of stuff taking up space.

Amazing video! It reminded me of the time i used to love gaming so much (nowdays i'm in a combination of too busy, depressed and burnt out of gaming so i just don't have the drive to pick up and play a game anymore. I rather watch you play them instead since i can chill and do other stuff in the meantime haha). I had a pretty similar collection even though i am younger than you (27 years) since my half brother is older than me (36) and used to give me his old stuff everytime he came to my dad's house.

22:37 Having chosen the NES Metroid as my first step into the series just last month, I can say that it was fun. Heavily flawed, but still a good time with a guide to help me out. I think that A Robot Named Fight proved to me that I would enjoy the gameplay of Metroid quite well.

There was a ODT poster that was going to be out for the N64. Never released, but Piko did have the rights to it and final builds were leaked.
