Vinny got COINS? Seriously, though, I collect coins. First, DON"T CLEAN THEM. Cleaning coins will destroy all value. Those "silver pennies" aren't silver, just steel. You are right for the war explanation. And yes, that 1889 silver dollar looks real. Depending on the mint mark (on the back below the wreath), it can be worth from $30 to almost $1000, but you probably most likely have either a no mintmark (Philadelphia mint) or O mintmark (New Orleans) on it instead of the slightly-more valued S (San Francisco) or the highly-valued CC (Carson City). Half Dollars from 1964 and before are 90% silver and from between 1965 and 1970 are 40% silver. 1971 and forward are cupro-nickel, and are only worth 50 cents, with rare, few exceptions. Dollars 1971 and after are usually worth only $1, with, again, rare and few exceptions. That "Halloween costume" coin and the gold coin do look fake in my opinion. And those other coins in the bag are most likely just common foreign coins. It's not a goldmine, but it's still something to keep, especially since your grandfather gave it to you. My great grandfather started me on my coin collecting journey, and I'm one of the rare exceptions of a younger collector. These are my opinions, though. I recommend going to a local coin shop for a clearer valuation, especially for that 1889 Morgan silver dollar (that's what we call the design).

Vinny that 1889 coin you have is a silver dollar coin. They roughly go from $40 all the way up to $600 dollars depending on the condition its in. Looking at the coin's condition I would say it would roughly be around $90 to $100 dollars. Also those steel (silver) pennies could be worth some real money too.

@jasperjeffrey5825

The steel pennies aren't worth anything today- those were hoarded in large enough volumes back then that they're easy to come by. The 1889 morgan dollar Vinny has is probably worth something, though I'm thinking 20-40 dollars is more likely. The details don't look obliterated, but there's some significant tarnishing and features like the eagle breast and liberty's cheeks are worn down. If Vinny sees this, he should check below the eagle's claws to see if there's a small letter: that's the mint mark and could significantly change the value of the coin. www.coin-collecting-guide-for-beginners.com/no-mint-mark-on-morgan-dollars-where-do-i-look-next.html for the mint mark location.

The only problem is the collectors who are willing to pay those prices usually want decent condition boxes. Collectors who already have the cart tend to buy a $10 reproduction box to fill out their shelves. I bought from a seller who had been sitting on a rough Stadium Events box for a decade. Hard to get $2000 for beat up cardboard when you can get a sealed and graded copy for $1500 more.

Vinny, that one dollar coin is known as a Morgan Dollar. It is 90% silver and the value of it depends on the condition and mint mark. From what I could tell from a glance it probably would be around Very Fine (VF25) to Extremely Fine (XF40). Look on the back of the coin, under the eagle. Is there nothing, an S, an O, or a CC? That is the mint mark of the coin, and affects the value. S is san Francisco, no mark is Denver, O is New Orleans, and CC is carson city (the rarest by far). That would probably go around $50 for no mint mark and O mint mark, $90 for S mint mark, and $1300 for CC mint mark. I wish I could tell you the exact price but I couldn't see the coin clearly enough to see the mint mark. That is my coin nerd-out moment for the year 😂

@@Anon-lu6ct Tbh, it's kinda hard. My first Sonic was Sonic Rush on DS. It was 2D, but it was a boost gameplay (like most of the modern sonic games we now have). I've played Sonic 1,2 and 3. They're excellent games and really fun. I guess it's just a matter of taste. I like the first games because it has the basis of what Sonic is as a platformer, and I like the modern sonic too (It's fun to boost through everything). It maybe kinda surprising, but SA1 and 2 are not my favorite games. I enjoyed SA2, but I didn't finish SA1 because I got bored of it (mostly because of Big's stages I guess). Vinny has called other people "Chat" in VR, I wonder if he has ever done it outside of streaming, like in his day to day life.

I barely remember pogs, but what I DO remember is that my two religious cousins would bring their collection for me and my sister to play with after school on some days. AND speaking of finding things, I found my old PSX disc of Legend of Mana amongst my old game collection, as I'm in the middle of moving. (Plus, I had that exact same Nintendo Power magazine; that one with Pokemon Yellow on the cover.)

Vinny's some kind of saint for the good nick those boxes and books are in, especially the magazines for how thin the paper in those usually is. Most of my stuff is all flattened and torn or in disarray all over the place in random bags.

15:16 I had that magazine. That FF IX guide only goes through the beginning of the game, but it gives you a lot of the secret items from what I recall. It's all I remember from this one.

4:48 that Mario Party e card was a special double coin card that didn't come with the original deck for the card game (which was a hybrid card game and e-Reader minigame collection). I think it might have come with an issue of Nintendo Power?

As far as Magic goes, the most interesting stuff you've got in general is from Portal - an old newbie set that was underprinted and had a lot of unique cards. Even crappy commons like Cloud Pirates go for a couple bucks at the very least, assuming they haven't been reprinted somewhere else. You also got some random stuff from Lorwyn/Shadowmoor which can add up. Didn't see any one super amazing card though - I think Twilight Mire at ~$7 was the best single thing I saw (FWIW, it was like $30 before recent reprints tanked it). There are apps like Delver Lens or the TCGPlayer app that scan cards and show you prices, if you feel so inclined to mess with that. If I had to eyeball the value of what I saw, you probably have like $50, maybe? Fun stuff to watch. Would like to see another!

Those power stamps were from Nintendo power. Collect them, each worth 1.00 if I remember correct to get merch in the catalog. I turned a bunch of those in for soundtrack CDs at one point, only having to pay shipping and handling. Great deal.

those nintendo boxes are pretty cool, still worth something. you could probs track down a second hand cart to fill them again, they might be cool display pieces for your shelf. especially the games you love, like banjo.
