Vinny, the green olives on pizza are used in a fair other countries not just Brazil. Here in Croatia it's normal to always have one olive in the middle of the pizza no matter what kind of pizza you ordered be it a Margharita or a Cappricoso , since it's kind of a decorative thing for some countries and plus some people like eating an olive after the pizza.

I would be curious to hear where Vin loves getting pizza from and what his top favourite pizzas are. Best pizzas i had were in a cafe in Annecy France. One was a four cheese pizza and the other was a Reine pizza, which had Ham Mushrooms and Oregano on it. Nothing has compared to it yet.

Imo pineapple is the only acceptable fruit to put on pizza. There's not many fruits that go well with cheese cold (the few I can think of off hand are grapes, apples, and of course, pineapple), and pineapple, afaik, is the only one that has the right texture after being cooked. Then pair the subtle sweetness of it with the saltiness of ham and bacon, and it's just👌

An example of a "cursed" pizza I had was from a pizza restaurant in Nairobi ... It was advertised as "vegetarian pizza", and the order was not mistaken ... and it had chicken on it. It was a perfectly standard vegetarian pizza, with veg and spice and all ... except for the chicken. I don't think they understood what vegetarian meant...
