everything else aside, vinnie sure could play a guitar. i wish there were pro shot concert vids of vinnie. as it is, 'doctor love' from rio 1983 is my favorite of the available clips.

Ok folks...some interesting facts from the 1996 expo tours....Vinnie wore a bandage on one of his fingers, and said he couldn't do the solos, this so he could only perform rythm guitar. He was reluctant to even play. Sometimes his guitar wasn't even plugged in. The funny thing with the bandage on his finger...he said he had injured his finger and therefore couldn't play. My two cents is that he hadn't even played guitar for a few years. He never bothered to rehearse either. He did this only to promote his 'Eurphoria' EP, for the money and to rip people off. Back to the bandage on his finger, and why he couldn't play... The bandage kept changing fingers and even HANDS at times. He had not injuired his finger, fingers, hand etc. Just another lie from this greatly talented scam of a person. He was confronted about the thing with the bandage on his finger, because sometimes he had forgotten to put it on even. Vinnie had signed a contract for this expo, where he was to perform with the tribute band, but after he got confronted with the bandage on his fingers, he stopped alltogether performing with the tribute act at he expo.I think one guy managed to convince him to do 1 or two songs, by begging him, but after that. NONE! He got more and more paranoid, wanting armed security people, wanted a bulletproof "ticketbox" where he could sign the memorabillia. Wanted the best suites at hotels, transport, firstclass planetickets etc. That was NOT in the contract he had signed. He wouldalso at times, only sign if people bought his "Euphoria" EP, and demanded that there would be no VVI or KISS music played over the speakers at the expo, just his 4 track EP over and over, or else he would travel back to the US. Promoters didn't go with that of course, except in Germany once I think. Also...Vinnie wore a wig. He did so in 1987-88 too. He also fell asleep on the expo tour bus, and his wig had moved while he had slept, even his (now late) wife commented on it when he woke up, making everyone laugh. Vinnie ran into the tourbus bathroom and stayed there for like over an hour. After that he demanded to ble flown to each city or driven in a Mercedes. He ripped the promoters off, signing dinner and hotel bills with their names, and then pulled out of the whole expo thing, by the time it was to travel to the UK, he had flown back to the US, never to be seen again, except for appearing online with false promises, various aliases on message boards, youtube, fb accounts, and of course the infamous mugshot. He even bothered to put on one of his old wigs before the police escorted him out after the domestic violence thing in 2011.

Vinnie wrote 5 songs on Creatures. I Love It Loud, Killer, War Machine, Keep Me Comin' & Saint & Sinner. Paul wrote Danger and I Still Love You. Ace agreed to do the cover of Creatures and the promo tour for television appearances to promote the Creatures album, but no tour. Ace was done with the band at that point because he said he was having a nervous breakdown. Paul went to Ace's house to beg him stay in the band but Ace was too far gone at that point. Enter Vinnie by default for 2 reasons. They did not want a famous guy people could recognize, and Vinnie already did a lot of the Creatures album. Plus They knew Vinnie was a great musician & songwriter.

If you watch the clip of Vinny being asked about Unholy, he is answering about the SONG not the solo. When Vinny said "WE worked on that" he meant the WRITING of the song. Bruce is a shithead for misinterpreting that and trashing him here. Believe me Vinny doesn't need to take credit for any of Bruce's solos.

Met Vinnie briefly in 96...nice enough but very odd....met Dana twice and he was rude as hell both times and came across like he thought his shit didn't stink (and I know others who have had similar interactions with him)....obviously there are many sides to this story. I'm sure Vinnie is no angel...but I'm sure Gene/Paul and Dana etc aren't either. Sadly lots of talent and lots of serious egos.

That story about Slaughter was bullshit. Vinnie didn't like Slaughter, the record company wanted Slaughter, not Vinnie.. Actually, Vinnie wanted a Swedish singer who sounded a lot like Fleischman. Fleischman stepped down himself because he didn't agree with the contract. Vinnie wanted to keep Fleischman.

What about the dead dogs in the freezer and throwing his wife through a plate glass window. I think he was framed, personally.

The story about Mark Slaughter was debunked by him. He said that Dana got him an audition and the label wanted him so Vinnie agreed but did nothing but put Mark down all the time.

As much as Gene and Paul bash Ace and Peter, its somewhat hard not to notice the anti-Vinnie crowd is curiously pro-Gene. No, I don't know Vincent Cusano but not hearing his side.

Rik Fox cries foul and thinks everyone ripped him off from Vinnie Vincent to Blackie Lawless to God knows who else. Not that Vinnie or Blackie are saints by any means, but Rik comes off like some gossipy hang-around who likes telling stories about meeting rock stars for 5 minutes because that's all he's got going for him. Perhaps if Sin went anywhere instead of disappearing like a fart in the wind, he wouldn't act like some butt-hurt little crybaby.

Leave Vinnie alone! he didn't rape you or run a bus over a bunch of girl scouts! The muthafucker is human! By far more talented than anyone of us! Better than KISS! Vinnie saved a fallen KISS!
