The old Lo-V subway cars were introduced in the late 1910s and early 1920s for service on the IRT Subway, which makes up the modern-day numbered lines of the NYC Subway system. This train of preserved Lo-Vs ran in passenger service for the 2024 Yankees Home Opener!

It's wonderful the NYC subway system preserves and operates old equipment for everyone to enjoy. It's an historic operation. It's legacy should be preserved.

Kudos to the TA for keeping some of these old trains around and in running condition. And the guy at 59th St not noticing the differnt whistle pitch and being surprised when a vintage train went by.

While three lines take you there, only the 4 gives you the stadium view which is why you always find the vintage cars there when the season opens.

In Japan,many old train are stored in the museum. So, we can not see the running old train.

No, I’ve been on some of the old ones before, there’s one in nagatoro that you can get on it goes from yorii to I think kumagaya

The Chichibu Line. Also, Oigawa Railway has some old equipment. But in central Tokyo most everything is pretty new. JR East was running the JNR era 185 series until a few years ago, those were cool.
