Manufacturers should bring back the 1970's audio system design just like what those shoe manufacturers are bringing back their vintage styles. They have those superior quality design that cannot be match-up by current designers. Let's go!!!!!

Check the obituaries before you walk in the store asking for the salesman you met there in the 1970's :D

Hey, that Sansui reciever is right next to me! Connected to a pair of Advents from the same period and out 1080p LCD. Sometimes one of the channels goes out, gotta figure out how to fix that.

I think the Marantz 2225 was the best and most beautiful (without that exaggeration of buttons) model already developed until today. Its sound is soft and pleasant. It makes a perfect set with the Marantz 5220 Tape Deck and the Marantz 6100 Turntable. I have this set with a pair of Akai speakers from 1972. All in new condition.

I have a Marantz 2500 with Klipsch Bell speakers in the Pioneer turntable. I also purchased a Realistic 2100 that's being fully recapped as I speak. I'm excited to hear that see what it sounds like. I'll tell you one that flies under the radar it's the Sony 7075/55/45 series. It will give any Marantz a run for its money.
