The PTO speed on that poor baler is far too high and I'm not surprised they haven't had a breakdown. Even early David Brown Tractors had a 2 speed PTO. Looks like he's engaged the higher one...

It’s the correct speed if you have it too slow you will brake too many sheer pins

Should only be about 72 revolutions per minute, as I recall.

Yes, baled with a B46 when I was a kid. This is more than 540 RPM on the PTO. That David Brown Cropmaster has two speeds on the PTO. Looks like he has it in the high PTO gear. The Cropmaster delivered 540 RPM on the low PTO at 1450 Engine RPM and 1000 RPM on the high PTO at 1810 Engine RPM.

McCormick B46 & B45 Max operating speed = 60 strokes per minute. video timing 10~5.5 seconds (110 bpm)

David Brown 25 or 30D with a International B46 Baler.
