Hi Sophia! I watched a beloved lady on you tube her name is Phyllis Stokes. She and her husband Bucky were the dearest couple. She and Bucky have recently passed away. She did a lot of vintage recipes. You should look for her for some ideas. You are the best! I love you and your sweet family! Watching you now❤️❤️❤️

I'm 70 but your son took me back in time! His mannerisms reminded me so much of when my son was that age. Teenage boys are nonstop eating machines and so skinny. They don't compliment you on your cooking but will eat everything at any time! You've got to love them! Loved this. Thanks!

Would love to see vintage recipe videos. I make the same casserole only with just cream of chicken and sour cream. I cook the chicken in the crockpot during the day so it's quick to put together at night. I combine butter with my crackers before I put it on top. Cook in a 9 x 13 @ 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. We eat the casserole over white rice. So so good!

Yes vintage cooking, I’m gonna try this recipe, in my corning ware girl please I collect the cornflower blue love it. I bought a set of 5 with their lids I went up to the guy and said how much for the set of corning ware and he said 10.00 I was like honey I grabbed them they were so heavy he got a milk crate and put them in, let me tell you I was like that lady in the ikea commercial “ start the car start the car” except i was by my self. This set was like new I love it and just recently I found the meat platter serving tray I’m just over the moon, so I understand how it is. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one, like always love your videos, awesome family, keep safe out there.

Love this recipe. Never heard of it before, but going to try it. I have a wonderful cornbread recipe for you...this was my Mom's recipe, and I grew up on cornbread. 1 C. Yellow Cornmeal 1 C. all- purpose flour 1/4 C. sugar 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 C. Milk 1 large egg 1/4 C. cooking oil Preheat oven to 425 degrees and coat the inside of a 9 inch cast iron skillet with butter. When oven is hot, place skillet in oven for 20 minutes to really heat up the butter. Then place cornbread mixture in skillet. This will produce a lovely crust on the bottom. To me, its the best part of the cornbread! In a large bowl, stir together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt till combined. In a seperate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and oil. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and stir just until everything is moist. Avoid over stirring. It's okay if there are a few lumps. Pour batter into prepared dish and bake for 20 minutes or till top and edges are golden brown. Enjoy!

Yes please to vintage meals. I have two sons - aren't we so lucky! Take some feeding though! 2 thumbs up from the UK . I'm 61 years old and I've never seen such a recipe but I am sure there must be similar as we have the same ingredients here. I do have a treasured church cook book with a recipe from my Mother in Law in which I treasure; It has survived all 'purging'.

I have several of those type of cookbooks. I love them and have used them more than any other cookbooks I own. Those families often had several children to feed and those little church ladies knew how to get a meal on the table that would feed the whole family without costing a lot of money or take a lot of time to prepare. I'd like to see more of these types of videos.

Yes to more vintage recipes! I have been collecting church lady cookbooks for 30 years from all over Canada and the USA. One of my favourite cookbooks is my Mom's Five Roses Cookbook from the 1940's, I make a similar recipe like your ritzy chicken by cooking the raw chicken in a mushroom soup and sour cream mixture in the oven then add the crackers on top with a little melted butter. To make it even fancier for guests I add a splash of white wine and button mushrooms to the sauce. I could almost taste how good your dish was. I don't have Corning Ware but I have plenty of vintage Pyrex I love to cook with

I have orange jello and mandarins on the shelf right now! After the Bday cake is out of the fridge, it's the next dessert. Even my new son in law from NH grew up on jello! lol. I love any pot pies. And I have 100s of vintage cookbooks thru the years. I love them. My favorites are the churches I grew up and the one I went to in college and the one when the kids were little - all the carry ins and new baby and new member and sick family and funeral dinners, all the friends and the memories. You just say a little prayer each time you cook that old standby and it takes you right back in time, like family. My favorite church book recipe is probably the jiffy corn casserole one? I could eat that every day warm or cold, morning, noon or night. Lol. Looks Delicious your Ritz Dish! I imagine we made that exact recipe 100x+ for the Golden Agers (Senior Citizens) Wednesday weekly luncheon meals! Wow. Yum. So good with rice too. And we served that no bake key lime pie. Just Perfection Comfort Food.
