This small boombox from 1987 has a detachable cassette and I managed to get it working pretty well! Cheap plastic FTW!

I had a unit very similar to this in the mid-1980s, branded Kingspoint. Grey with silver trim.. The walkman unit in mine had FF, REW, and REC functions The base unit's speakers were detachable and could spe positioned about six feet apart.

I’ve not even heard of that brand. Something to look out for.
