Being an airline pilot comes with many responsibilities. As a result, the industry is heavily regulated. Pilots fly a limited number of hours in a duty period to ensure that they are alert, razor-sharp, and focused on the safe operation of the aircraft.
And so the story we’re about to share is both impressive and troubling and it sounds like an entrepreneurial pilot flew simultaneously for two airlines.

Most pilots have side gigs, albeit not other piloting gigs. When you only fly 50 hours per month, that gives you lots of free time.

Domestic airline pilots are overworked and underpaid, especially in the US. Dont know how that relates to international airline pilots though.

I believe in 2nd chances. Everyone does make mistakes but it is cruical to learn from it and earn the trust from your fellow pilots again.
