I used to think about death all the time when I was in my 20s. I had panic attacks just thinking about that it could happen in the moment. That's an obsession and it needed to be treated. I'm in my 40s now and I rarely think that one day my time will come, I take that for granted but I'm not scared as before. I just enjoy life much more now

Imagine having a constantly acute sense of your mortality and still going outside and driving towards something you find valuable. The facts that it doesn't disturb you to the point that you're paralyzed is amazing, but to proceed forward and committ yourself to huge tasks is courageous.

It doesn't really matter for you in that sense but when you die everything continues so spreading truth and love matters more than selfishness and luxury. I'll use my time to nurture and teach rather than take whatever I can whole i can.

Because its about the acceptance of it . Once you accept that it is inevitable the only thing you can truly do is to value the time you have here to its fullest . To live life to its fullest as much as you can and to chase what you truly believe in .

This gave me shivers, such a driver, and that was before the cold awakening of having a great Sunday drive as a 20-something passenger, looking down for 10 seconds, then up to what I thought was the end. Lucky to just close the freeway, but even more fortunate to have this reminder every day since. Takes a conscious effort to have the best 6 months of life no matter what’s going on, but so grateful to live each day with no regrets.

As I have got older I have resigned myself to my death, I notice I look up in U-Tube articles that give me some hope that its not the ultimate end, even if we are not in the body, I am not religious, but I do believe we are children of the Cosmos, it gives us everything we need, why not in death.

We focus on the fact that we will no longer get to the things you love in life anyone when we die, but the things that stressed go away too. Really think about it. If you make it to your 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or even your 100th, do you really to continue on in a world you no longer can relate to? Likely without those you cherish or love?

Jordan saying he thinks about death all the time is interesting. I think about it consciously every day, I have a work addiction and justify working as the day is short and don't know how tonight will change tomorrow. Tasked with finding an assistant for me is the hardest thing for me to do because others maximizing the day with quality and quantity don't seem to be out there

Breakdown by Travis of Bickley Steam rising from the radiator of that old rust bucket, that pile of junk that spit and coughed to a stop. It took the old man a minute just to get the door undone then to hobble, limping to the grill. Bucket in hand he could hardly lift the hood, steam expanding. He was not just old but aged... Withered and worn, and rotting inside. Struggling to lift with bucket only half full of water... pouring some in the radiator and some splashing uselessly around it, trying to cool the engine down...what was left of the engine. And the battery? The battery was like his heart; used up and empty, like the shell of that body he had left...a lot like that junk heep that had just let him down...for the last time. Like the wife now dying in the front passenger seat. No need for the hospital now she would not make it there alive. So what did he have left? His soul was still there, his spirit was still there, and just a smidgen of hope. What kind of hope? The only kind left any failing being; a hope of some kind of continuation, some existence of some sort, still yearning within him. And what can he do with it?... that little smidgen he has left? That smidgen does not work in the physical plane. He is all done, is all done in, and he is going, going, gone. A dim glow rising...dim to nothing, but rising...nonetheless. His wife, preceeded families and friends and loved ones...a multitude of stars far and above, beyond his flickering glow.

No Autumn no More By Travis of Bickley The harsh Winter Winds blow near, just around the corner from here the leaves are free from their Autumn trees and are howling wildly there. A sedentary life no more... heave ho, and lay to; finish the chore. Only work for now... no pleasure, no play; no more. A blanket of leaves, now lie dying. And now the icy winter winds are trying their level best to keep the walkers off the trail that lead again, once more to spring but fail. That far off summer beckons warmly even still The melting winter ice to spring has lost its chill.

Memento mori. The next life is our real and permanent home. This life is a short stay at an inn in comparison, St Therese of the Child Jesus said. Life on this earth is for the purpose of knowing, loving and serving God through His Son Jesus Christ. To live in faith, hope and love. St John said, "In the evening of life we will be judged on love."
