@@Random_UserName4269Jaehaerys and Alysanne were the perfect King and Queen even if they fought pretty frequently. I think Rhaenys and Visenya embodied different aspects of ruling alongside Aegon which is why the realm quickly fell to warfare as soon as the more docile Queen Rhaenys fell.

@@morning8599if you look into it, her reasons are understandable. She and her siblings had worked so hard to establish their dynasty, she wasn't going to let it fall into ruin if she could help it. Don't forget Aenys was a weak king and it's understandable Visenya would think Aenys children were weak as a result…. Don't forget she tried to counsel Aenys herself, he was just that useless as a king.

You’re forgetting that ronnel (or his mother) asked visenya to take ronnel flying on vhaegar in return for peacefully surrendering the vale, visenya was willing to give them that in return for the surrender

I heard about the Conqueror spec script HBO rejected- the woman who wrote it was *absolutely* going to ruin Aegon. While I don't like all the changes made to HotD, despise what happened to GoT- & found myself a bit dumbfounded by the little I've heard released about 'BloodMoon' - what this scriptwriter was going to do was an absolute mutilation of the source material; Aegon was a combination of Caesar, Alexander the Great, & William of Normandy- he wasn't some 'useless drunk' that needed his sisters to do everything... I very much want a Conqueror's series, but I'm very, *very* glad that _that_ one was passed on.

There really isn't a lot of conflict to give a satisfying conclusion to that series if it was just kept to the conflict and the first dornish war. They essentially steamroll everyone except dorne and the dorne stuff isn't resolved until about 150 years later. There's about a 30 year lull between Rhaenys's death and her son's reign (where we start to see the other houses test boundaries in a post-aegon westeros).
