I'm down in Bristol today having a trip down to Wells in Somerset, which is England's smallest city, travelling on the 376 bus, one of the UK's most scenic bus routes. I also check out the nearby Glastonbury and Street!

A great route that! Being a huge bus nerd I can tell exactly what bus model the bus to Wells was. Been to Wells a few times as well

Its a lovely place. I hope you had a lovely time. Another thing about STREET (apart from being a biit more normal,after Glasto) is that the owner or the Clacks factor was ( I think) a Quaker, like the Mr Kellogs the cereal maker and built houses with sanitation for his workers to keep the healthy and productive. Thanks for dropping the video.

as someone with family there its weird seeing you do a video about wells😅 recognising all the places you were filming was fun. on Wookey Hole, there's a whole cave system there that you can go into and a museum about the caves, including the precarious ways they were explored (they were submerged). Also of course next time you're in the area it's worth going to Cheddar Gorge too. love the videos!!!

yeah, i think i deffo need another trip down there. might need to go across to Wookey Hole! I've had Cheddar noted down on my next visit down there! :)

Definitely a city I'd love to visit using that very bus route; nice to see you beat me to it! You should try visiting the smallest city in the UK (not just England) next, St Davids in West Wales (also on my bucket list), which is so small that it make Wells look massive in comparison. However, it is quite a trek (hence why I haven't been yet) being at the most westerly point of Wales in a remote location. After going all the way to Carmarthen, you'd change for a Milford Haven train to Haverfordwest followed by a bus. The regular T11 bus from Haverfordwest station is relatively infrequent (was hourly before COVID but now down to a few buses a day at 2-3 hour gaps) and not timed with the trains, so you may be better off hiring the 'fflecsi' minibus service for Northwest Pembrokeshire going that way instead.

I was gonna try and do St. David's last summer haha! Like you say, its a nightmare to get there if you don't drive!

@@SomeoneExplores I was planning to do a whole bus trek across Wales on TrawsCymru from Wrexham all the way down there, then COVID hit and the T11's reduced timetable f***ed up the whole itinerary. Luckily, they now have a fflecsi on-demand service that would allow you to get there easier from Fishguard or Haverfordwest as a cheaper and more flexible alternative to the T11 bus. Also, they have a new Premier Inn on the outskirts of St Davids, so you'll have a more reasonably priced place to stay overnight.
